  • Hi there! I know what you mean. I had the same problem. When I added strength training to my work out, I found I was much hungrier. If you're not already working with weights, maybe try that? Good luck!
  • I agree with you! But get this - speaking of bacon - my husband and my brother-in-law both love brussel sprouts so my sister found this recipe where she fries the sprouts in bacon grease! They swear by it and I suppose it would make them taste better...but doesn't the bacon grease kind of defeat the purpose? In my…
  • Hey girls! I think these are problem areas for all of us! Lately, I'm completely into the Billy Blanks Bootcamp series. I think his Lower Body Bootcamp is fantastic. I can really feel it in my legs - especially my inner thighs which seems to be a hard area to work. I have four of his DVDs and I love them all. I don't have…

  • I had no idea this thread was here - glad to find it!!! Looking forward to the race at Talledega in a couple weeks. Not going, but I wish I was. Bummer no race tomorrow...
  • Please reconsider what you're doing. I can totally relate to wanting to lose alot of weight quickly. I was also under the care of a doc, visiting a reputable little establishment called "Pound Melters" for my monthly prescription of Phen-Fen (yeah, the drug the FDA took off the market because it causes heart failure, etc).…

  • I agree, I think it's different for everyone. At my heaviest (190, 5'11), I was definitely pushing the maximum capacity of a size 14. Now I'm down 16 lbs and I think I'm finally into a size 10. I don't have any 10s but the 12 are falling off (yay). Congrats on your weight loss. It does feel great to drop sizes!!!
  • Me too! If I see 150 (ok, when I see 150), I'll be floored! You'll get exactly where you need to be and it will be perfect
  • Cool! You'll have a great time! And congrats on your upcoming graduation...it's sounds like you've put in a ton of hard work! :flowerforyou: Oh, and thanks...now I'm cruising around singing "Shake the Disease." My son is looking and me like I'm crazy....sigh....
  • Love, love, love Depeche Mode. They are on tour right now. Hoping I get to go but hubby's B-day is the weekend they will be in Dallas and he's not really a fan  But they do put on a fantastic show and if you get the chance to see them, you should definitely go! Black Celebration is probably my favorite of their…
  • I'm working - or trying to do something that resembles working  I can't remember the last time I had Good Friday off...sigh
  • It's so frustrating that they don't post their nutrition info. I ate there last week and had the bruschetta chicken pasta. It's not low fat (i think 29 g for a 1 c svg according to MFP's database) but only 293 cals. However, the portion is huge! I had to eyeball what I thought was about a cup. I think they must have…

  • Right now I'm really hooked on the Billy Blanks Taebo and Bootcamp DVDs - I think the shortest one is 45 min. I get them from Netflix. Good luck!

  • Communications here. Glad to help you out if I can!

If you feel compelled, please go to: www.atlbiggestloser.com and vote for Rashida. Thank you! :flowerforyou: Here's an excerpt from a recent message Rashida sent to friends and…
  • Not typos, but I love these website names! Check them out: http://top10kid.com/2008/07/21/top-10-unintentionally-funny-websites/ I used to live/work in San Francisco and they actually had the Tahoe website plastered on the Muni buses. I nearly crashed the first time I saw it
  • I've never doubted that there's gravy in heaven...
  • Is anyone else seeing the Papa John's ad at the top of this page? Get a cheese pizza for $0.25. Coincidence?
  • I have one. We're encouraged to use it for work. I never thought about using it for this, though. Good idea. Guess I'll have to set up a second account. Not sure if our clients would care to know that I ate three reese's peanut butter eggs last week
  • Hey girl! This I can do! A dessert reception sounds so awesome. Here's one of my favorite cookie recipes. Hope you like it! Snickers Cookies: 1 cup each - sugar, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter 2 tsp vanilla 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 3 cups flour 1 (16 oz) pkg minature snickers (or milky way)…

  • YES! Two years ago I went to see my doc. She walked into the exam room and yelled, "Oh my God, what happened?" She freaked me out, I thought I was dying! I asked her what was wrong and she said, "You've gained 15 lbs since last year!" What??? Thanks doc! Then she proceeded to tell me I needed to lose weight but, she said,…
  • Hi! I haven't heard of the show you're talking about, but I have a cookbook called "The Volumetrics Cookbook for Jenny Craig." I think it's essentially the same thing. The concept, according to Barbara Rolls (the founder of volumetrics?), is that regardless of the number of calories that we consume, we tend to eat the same…
  • Welcome home! Isn't it amazing what we realize we can live without??? I say treat yourself! Sounds like it's been a grueling (but exciting) five months. We have a Gaggia espresso maker and we love it! I'm pretty sure we have the Classic (although we must have an older model than the current Classic - at least from the…
  • Just finished watching. He is amazing. My husband just told me that he (Tiger, not my husband - sadly) has already won $9 million this year...wow!
  • Isn't it funny the songs we sing to our kids? I love that. I have always sung "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd to my son. Now he's almost 15 and we both love that song. I made him promise me that if he ever gets married he'll dance with me to that song
  • I know exactly what you mean about Counting Crows - I always go back to them. Time and Time Again - Counting Crows "So when are you coming home, sweet angel?" You leaving me alone? All alone? Well, if I'm drowning darling, you'll come down this way on your own." Another one that really moves me - Life Without You by Stevie…
