  • You look like you've lost more! Well done, don't give up!
  • I was just wondering the same thing. Groupon are running an offer not far from me and I am sooo tempted. Think it may be a slightly different version to the 'strawberry' one as the usual price is a lot higher than I've seen strawberry lipo advertised for. Anyone had a go? The one I looked at was advertising a 2cm reduction…
  • Can I get away with The Incredible Sulk?
  • Congrats on your progress so far! What do you drink throughout the day? Do you get enough water as I've heard that helps also cutting soda is also said to help. Really you need to do some sort of exercise to stay strong and ensure you don't lose lots of muscle mass rather than fat. There must be some form of exercise you…
  • I've always been overweight. From when I began to walk it was apparent that I had problems with my legs so I couldn't run around with the other kids to get a bit of exercise. I also find food comforting and have a very sweet tooth!
  • Crack open a bottle of wine and have a gossip
  • I agree that strength training is the way to go. I'm 5'4 and 123lbs and I look in the mirror and see a fat person although I'm only 6lbs away from my ultimate goal. I have a lot of toning to do and would like to lower my bf% so now I'm trying to focus more on building muscle and tone to shape my body.
  • She obviously has plenty of issues to work through already. Let her learn to love herself as she is and then she may choose to make improvements to certain areas of her life. Baby steps
  • I hate vanity sizing. It makes it sooo hard to buy clothes as you can't just grab 'your' size and go
  • The bigger I got, the less control I felt I had. I thought I was choosing healthier foods but my weight continued to rise. It didn't help my depression and I was damn right miserable all the time. My hormones seemed to be going crazy and I was struggling to control my emotions. Life has been so much better since I joined…
  • I get the usual 'don't lose any more weight' from my mum. It made me upset and concerned at first but I've just chosen to ignore it. I'm shooting for a healthy weight and BMI for my height so whats the problem? She also keeps inviting me over for BBQ's and cooking me 4 sausages and 2 burgers and then handing me a bowl of…
  • I have seen some amazing success threads about this on here so may be worth doing a search as well as looking forward to the responses you get. I'm nearly at my goal weight but still have a lot of skin over hang (and fat) in my lower tummy area. After 5 babies I still wonder if it will ever go away as my little ones have…
  • Wouldn't think so going by the Atkins bar I ate yesterday to make up the calories for my non Atkins diet. The bar I ate had something like 240 cals and 17g of fat!
  • I'm 5.4, 28, have 5 kids and weighed 167lbs after my last little one was born. I'd always been overweight and even dieting after each child previously I'd never been able to get below 150lbs. With MFPs help I'm now down to 123lbs and shooting for 117 so its definitely do-able. I'll still have a lot of toning and bf%…
  • Wow amazing job! You look so much younger, you look like a 28 year old now!
  • I do this too so I keep some low cal chocolaty treats in the cupboard because all I want is something sweet but don't want to completely screw my diet. I read the other day that if you pipe yogurt drops (a good tasty yogurt of course) onto a tray and freeze them they are very good for satisfying a sweet craving and they…
  • I try to eat cleaner foods generally but I still love to order in pizza (I just don't eat the whole thing by myself anymore) and if I don't have a little bit of chocolate most days I am miserable but I often have dark chocolate rather than milk now
  • I guess its mainly curiosity really and it would be nice to more accurately gauge my progress. In my opinion I am becoming (for want of a better term) skinny-fat and it would be nice to be able to tell if the exercises I am doing and my diet are adequately addressing what I feel is my problem. I take measurements but I'm…
  • I hope the Fat2Fit estimate is more accurate as it puts me about 2% lower than my scale this morning. I've noticed that often as I lose weight my bf increases according to my scale but I don't really see that I could have lost enough muscle in one week to warrant a 1.5% fat increase. Really with I could get measured…
  • I won't gain the weight back because I love buying smaller clothes than I've ever worn before and I think I'll always see my body as a work in progress so they'll always be something I want to work on and that could be diet or fitness wise
  • Good tips, shame about all the unhelpful negative posters. They could have at least tried to share their tips or add to the list.
  • To the breast is best preacher.....Information on the best way to feed a baby changes all the time. When my brother was born in the 70's my mother was told by medical professionals that she must give him formula if she wanted to give him all the nutrients to grow properly. When I was born in the 80's medical professionals…
  • I tend to lose all my pregnancy weight in the first 2 weeks but then I have supply problems with my milk so I try to eat more and my weight stays fairly steady until I completely stop feeding then I usually start gaining and feel like I have to start tackling the bulge. I stopped feeding my youngest at 5 months and just…
  • So glad to see this thread. Not 5 minutes ago I was looking in the mirror and feeling depressed about my big mummy tummy :( I've never had a flat tummy and have been working my butt off but its still hanging (literally) in there. I was wondering whether there was any point in keeping on trying to get rid of it after 5 big…
  • I don't think I ever really had any unusual goals. I just wanted to be healthier and look nicer so I felt more like the pre mummy me. Now I'm approaching my goal I just really want to reach it and keep toning in the hope that I'll be able to wear a bikini next summer.
  • Apparently I'm 22.5% smaller than I think....interesting...
