Most multis have no calories. Calorie-free nutrients seem like a good idea, right?

It's not about the weight, its about the form.

This question proves why logging "exercise" calories into a food log is slightly ridiculous.

You're going to get more protein in less calories with a 100% whey protein isolate. If you compare the grams of each serving to the grams of protein in each serving, you can see the difference from a Wal-Mart protein vs. something like Isopure low carb. 100% isolates are more expensive, but you're getting more protein in…

You should just change your macros goals so you don't see red.

I don't know how you would log something like that, and I don't think you should worry about logging it. It's one day. If it were a weekly thing or something, then I'd try to figure it out.

You should think of protein powder as part of your food bill. Online, you can find good protein for around $10 a lb. Average jugs are 2-3 lbs. That's around 20 bucks for a month supply of protein.

Casein helps me sleep and recover, no idea why anyone would think its a waste, in general. I'd take a pre-workout to exercise over coffee any day. Whey protein is a supplement, so not necessary? Maybe. But if you want to supplement your daily intake, whey is great. You could add a shake on the cardio days to help replenish.

A lot of different choices here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/workout/programs.html

I drink 3-4 shakes throughout the day. Being a vegetarian, a lot of my protein intake comes from shakes.

I'm already sexy. I just lift to look cool.

Are you tracking your calories? Barring any medical issues, a calorie deficit will make you lose weight 100% of the time.

Yeah, the gummies do have filler crap. I looked one up 15 calories, 3 grams of sugar. I don't know exactly where the other 3 calories come from, but unless someone can't stomach a real vitamin, I'd stay away from these all together.

This. I don't know why it matters. Gravity still is the same whether its in lbs or kgs. Protein shakes won't make you bulky. Unless you're taking testosterone, you won't get bulky.

Vitamins are calorie-free nutrients. I don't know what point logging them would have, in terms of logging them like food.

Based on your pic, if that's a bulge, I'm a fat *kitten*!

Based on MFP standards on the "guided path", going over on protein is actually a good thing. You may want to customize your settings. Sugar, in general, is not an issue as long as you are working out, don't have any sugar-related medical issues, and are obtaining them mainly from fruits, veggies, etc.

Well that sucks, the old formula was WAY better than the new.

If I feel a stall, I take a break. I've been on a pretty hardcore diet for about six weeks, and I completely fell off a couple weeks ago. I just needed a reboot, couple days off, change my workout routine, and then remembering why I started the diet in the first place. A little self-reflection can go a long way!

I believe he asked how to make his abs pop, not a critique of his food journal. Someone said it earlier, high weight, low rep ab exercises will help them pop.

Sugar isn't as important as your macros (protein/carbs/fat). If you've already lost 14 lbs going over everyday, that should be proof that it isn't really relevant to your weight loss. Have you stalled?

What kind of beer is that?

This. I do yoga on my "rest" days. I would also recommend switching the leg and back days to split the routine even further. Leg days can hit some back and calves, so I space those days out.

It doesn't really matter when you weigh, just as long as you weigh consistently (same time of day, similar clothing, similar diet, etc.)
-
28 grams = 1 ounce; 16 ounces = 1 pound

Although eating protein is the best, a whey protein shake shouldn't be a problem for a 15 year old football player.

Breaking Benjamin, Tool, NIN were my go-to heavier bands. I've been on this dirty reggae kick lately...The Expendables have a few songs that go from reggae to heavy, good for intervals.

This was the best price I could find too. I use the unflavored so I can mix it in my protein shakes. It does alter the taste slightly, but I'm not trying to make a gourmet shake or anything!

A book only taught me so much. On-the-job experience is where I got most of my expertise. He sounds like he's been around the block a few times.
