Considering you are telling me to up my calories to close to the 2000 mark missy... hahah... I would say go for it... As long as you are eating good healthy carbs (which I know you would!) listen to your trainer.... you can always make changes after the 16 weeks training if its not working as you thought it would xx

Was just about to recommend this very book!!! Weird concept but really works and is a good laugh to read!! Your mind is a powerful thing! Use it to your advantage!!! 13mths ago I could run a few hundred meters.. I can now comfortably do 10+km :):)

Maybe you need to give it more time? Don't forget that if your used to doing cardio and not weights that you have probably increased your muscle mass now which could result in the minimual weight loss and lack of measurement changes..
-
Totally agree with this.. you are pretty much my height and weight.. you just need to concentrate on toning.. its amazing what difference it makes to the way you look!

Just did my longest run of 14km.. was contemplating a half beofre that.. Looking at possibly the October one here in Perth..

What a great day yesterday at the HBF Run for a Reason. We all did so well!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!! I could barely do any 7 mths ago.. Build your numbers up on your knees.. No rush to get to your toes.. I can do over 50 per minute on my toes now when I'm doing fitness evaluations and I'm a GIRL! Knackered at the end but such a good feeling to know how far you have come.. Keep at it!

Get hold of the book run fat ***** run by Ruth field :)

1. Make sure your shoes are right for you! 2. Make sure you are well hydrated.. 3. Get someone to watch you run from behind and tell you if you are doing anything bizarre eg flicking you heels out on a odd angle 4. Make sure you are running on your toes/mid foot... Not your heels!! Fixed my problem straight up!! 5.warm up,…

Do not.... I repeat... Do NOT get on the scales on Monday after having this fun day!! Hide it/ get your partner to hide it.. Stay right away from it! Have your day and then just jump straight back into it the next day and down a TONNE of water to help flush your system out... Enjoy your friends birthday!! :)

That's awesome! I'm thinking about doing one in August/October.. will see how I feel after this weekends 14km then if I can get any of the other girls from training I'll start building my distance up :-)

It feels great hey? The health and fitness bug has hit heaps of people at our office this year and I've gotten quiet a few hooked on MFP :-)
-
Great job on doing a 10km as your first run, thats pretty impressive!! I never thought I'd be doing 5km with ease, let along distances further than that! :-)

Bumping to read later :-)

I hear ya! I'm having to roll my work pants over! I'm thinking of just going to the salvo's or st vinnies or similar to see if I can get a pair of good work pants that have barely been used to get me through, I can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe :-/

hahah know the feeling chicken, sizing is obviously different here .. i was a 12.. and was nearly at a 10 but hips were holding me back abit still.. then all of a sudden i'm trying on 10's a few weeks later and they are swimming on me!! Helllllooooooo size 8's!! and even some of my size 8 workout pants seem abit loose…

I don't get people judge me for all my good eating and fitness goals like I do on FB. I don't post much on there about it at all now as they just don't have the same goals/views as me.. Its funny how one of my so called friends commented on how I'd changed and was a fitness freak when they also used to go to the gym 6 days…

When a ***** at work told me I'd put on weight and we got into an argument about it.. I'm 174cm and WAS 68kg.. Far from being anywhere near over weight! Am now 61kg and very toned and 2 dress sizes smaller.. Still can't stand the sight of her and she had better watch out if she ever makes a comment like that again!
