It's a really fun workout series. I own it and return to it when I need to switch things up some if I get bored with my other workout routines. I didn't get crazy results from it. But if you do the program as designed and eat right you'll get a good start on your goals. It's not terribly difficult or intense... a good…

BACK AWAY FROM THE COOKIES :) I'm really sorry to hear you are going through a tough time... I can only imagine the frustration and worry and stress you're under. It makes sense that you want relief. But you are not an animal... while you may not be able to control what is making you feel these things you can control what…

I had a similar experience the last time I did Insanity. I worked my butt off in the workouts, but just didn't really have any results. Then I got my diet in check and it was all over from there. Be sure to follow the diet recommendations... it will make a world of difference. At the very least, be sure you aren't eating…

I did Turbo Fire! It kept my cardio conditioning up to speed and I still lost weight, but wasn't as intense as Insanity. It's a good workout, just not quite as serious as Insanity. I'm on to Insanity is just a few weeks. Good luck in your future fitness endeavors!

My suggestion would be to do a quick Google search for a "Couch to 5k" training plan. These plans usually have a walk/jog type of schedule and are friendly for the new-to-running person! Feel free to send me a buddy request if you'd like more tips or a friendly support person.

Look forward to working with ya... friend request coming your way!

Welcome! Friend request coming your way soon :)

Adding you! What's your game plan?

I'm starting Insanity in a few weeks. It's a fantastic program. I hope you get your hands on the program soon. Best wishes on your fitness journey!

Here's a few tips that have proven helpful for me and several others that I work out with: bump your protein up just a bit, follow a 30% protein, 50% carb, and 20% fat ratio. Keep your cardio conditioning low. No more than 1-2 cardio workouts a week, so either stick with the Karate or the calisthenics, but not both You…

I'm a runner as well and felt like I was lacking in the upper body department. I also didn't want to take on a program that would require me to sacrafice on my cardio conditioning. I did Turbo Fire and added hand weights. I actually experienced improved cardio conditioning and started to get the toned armes I'd been…

I don't see anything wrong with trying a less time consuming workout. Sometimes it's about quality over quantity. I'm a firm believer that your workouts need to fit your goals as well as your lifestyle. If there is simply no way to workout any time that would allow you to get in a quality 60-ish min workout (as required by…

My lower body is my biggest problem area as well... I just hate lower body workouts. But they are necessary if you want toned thighs and a perky bum :D I don't know how long you've been doing Insanity, but I would think by the end of the program you'd be well on your way to having the lower body you want. Even when I just…

I've really gotten into the Beachbody programs. I own P90X, Insanity, and Turbo Fire. I attempted both P90X and Insainty twice early on, but failed. I switched to Turbo Fire and not only completed the program, but lost 15 lbs and had a ton of fun. I'm now on to P90X and will complete this program in 3 weeks. I will start…

I won't start for a few weeks (Waiting to finish up P90X first.) But would love to have you added as a buddy... it helps to have someone to share your struggles and sucesses!

Yeah... it's an opportunity not to be missed. Just the free t-shirt is exciting enough (lol). I'm a total Beachbody convert... won't do any other in home fintess programs out there. I feel like all those peeps in the infomercials that state they are in the "best shape of my life" :D I'm moving on to an Insanity Challenge…

I"ve done P90X a couple of times. The first time I used only the resistance bands, no weights and no pull up bar, I had great results. Don't be detered if you don't have all the equipment, there are tons of ways to modify and Tony shows you how to do the modifications in each workout. Feel free if you have any other…

Great job, man! P90X is no joke. I'm 3 weeks out from graduation myself and feeling pretty dang good about that :) Be sure to enter your results into the Team Beachbody Challege... you'll get a free t-shirt out of the deal, plus you're then entered to win any where between $500 and $100k Again, congrats! and Good luck on…

Congrats on your sucess! What have you been doing to turn things around?
-
Sounds to me like it's time to switch it up! Even adding 100 (healthy) cals can make a huge difference in pushing through a platue. Try it for two weeks and see if you get a boost :) Good luck!

Here are my two cents ladies... take it for what it is :) defor5050: It's not necessarily the type of exercise, but your intensity. Sure, there are exercises that burn more calories than others. However, if you've been doing the same fitness routine at the same intensity for more than a month or so, you may no longer be…

COngrats on your upcoming wedding.... how exciting. I'd love to be apart of your weight loss journey. Sending request now! Dala

Have you ever done the program before? It's pretty rediculous, but well worth the effort :) When do you start? I'm finishing up Phase 3 of P90X and plan to start Insanity by mid June. Best of luck! Dala

Too funny... sending a buddy request ASAP! Dala

Sending friend request now... let's do this!

natvanessa, I agree with mariacolumbus. It's a program that varies from person to person, and can even vary for one person over time. For example, I've done two rounds of P90X During my first round I was only able to curl 12lbs weights. During this current round I curl 20-25 lbs. The folks I've trained with have gotten…

Hello meia1! Welcome to MFP. It sounds like you have more than a reasonable weight goal set for yourself. And it's impressive that you lost more than 100lbs at one point in your life. You must really have some iron strong determination... impressive! Feel free to send me a buddy request if you're looking to add to your…

We'll be a super team! You keep my nutrition focused and I'll keep your fitness on track :) Deal? P90X is totally worth the investment... what a wonderful idea for a birthday gift! It's been a program that has challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally. And while I sometimes feel like the program is winning more…
