  • For those struggling with water, here's a great video tip! http://www.exercisetv.tv/blog/post/2010/12/30/We-Love-These-Soda-Alternative-Tips-From-Laurel!.aspx
  • SW: 141.6 (This may not be accurate as the stomach flu brought me down to 138.6, and I ate nothing but crap yesterday) GW: 130
  • challenges were a bit hard to do yesterday due to me being sick. Either flu or food poisoning. So, I didn't get all my water or exercise in. Instead I slept most of the day. However, I did stay under calories, by wayyyy too much due to my stomach. But, I'm feeling better today and ready to get back on track! Celebrating my…
  • I came down with something yesterday. Nice to see the scale after being sick (down almost 3lbs) too bad it's not real loss! Probably won't be getting in my exercise for the day, and I'm sure to be under cals because I can't eat. But, I'll get the water in! TUESDAY: 10 Glasses Water (80 ounces) ---check! Not really sure the…
  • Although I don't have kids of my own, my aunt has 1yr old twins, and my mom has a 1 yr old and 3 yr old. Both didn't gain weight while breast feeding, but ate almost whatever they wanted. My aunt is a weight-loss/eat right/get fit nut. She loves chocolate, but tries to restrict it most times. She complained that once she…
  • I don't usually check my p.m. weight, but when I do occasionally weigh myself throughout the day I see a fluctuation of 2 or so lbs.
  • Starting weight from today: 142.
  • I just bought a pair of the new Sketchers Tone-ups. I'm waiting for them to come. The tone-ups aren't like the shape ups, instead of a rocking type sole they have "bumps" at the balls of your feet and heel. And these ones say they are running shoes. I'll post after I get them and try them out.
  • My holiday gatherings are "officially" over, at least the family ones. And i didn't do too bad. No loss over the past few days, but no gain! Now to make it through the new years. My friends still have their usual holiday party, we're getting pizza which shouldn't be TOO bad. And then my friend's 21st, luckily I can't…
  • When I lost a ton of weight a few years ago I went from a C/B to an A. I was worried I was going to lose my chest when I started losing again. I had gotten to a 36D, but this summer was measured as a 34DD after losing 15lbs. Currently I'm a 34D/DD and I love it! However, they don't really look as big as they are.
  • I'm in! I'm doing the 10lb by V-Day, however my goal is about 12lbs (from the 142 I'm at now to 130)
  • Merry Christmas all! I hope you're all able to stay strong these few days, but let yourself enjoy the holidays! I know it's going to be hard to be good tonight with yummy chicken paprikas and sour cream mashed potatoes from my favorite Hungarian restaurant!
  • I'm in, excited for my first challenge on MFP! My overall goal weight is to lose around 10lbs anyway! SW: 141 Goal: 130
  • I saw on exerciseTV the other day that this is one of the best things to have post-workout!
  • Don't stress too much about it, this morning I weighed over 3lbs more than yesterday. Yeah it's frustrating to get on and see 144 instead of the 140 I was hoping to see, but I didn't take it to heart. Throughout today I haven't been feeling great and I've noticed I'm bloated, I'm chalking my gain up to those two factors.…
  • if I can do it, so can you. I was at 165 last Christmas, at 5'3". I started working out more spring semester of school, but dorm food does not help you loose weight. By the start of summer I was at 155 and my friends and I decided to do a 2 month weight loss competition. We biked a ton and watched what we ate. I ended up…
  • Where I go to school saunas are a big thing, most houses have them. Yoopers (people who live in Michigan's upper peninsula) LOVE their sauna. Some of the guys I hang out with explained to me that it has a lot of great health benefits. It raises your core temp to help fight bacteria and can help you fight off colds and…

  • Here's an interesting article on it: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html
  • I know a lot of us have mentioned just wanting to tone. I found these workouts while looking through exerciseTV. Not sure if you've heard of them before. They're called "Quickie in Bed" for your abs, boobs, and butt! Not only is it a fun name, but the exercises are fun too, and you don't have to leave your bed! (They…
  • My goal for my winter break is to get below 140 (I keep teetering between 140-145) so once January hits: --Start taking a Zumba class and keep up with it and get the most out of it. (I'm doing this with a sorority sister, and looking forward to it) --Keep up an active workout schedule. (Once school starts it's very hard to…
  • I had never really thought to blame my unquenchable desire for food on the cold. I live in Michigan's upper peninsula for most of the winter (I go to school there) and it's always quite cold. My housemates and I always seem to run into the "can't stop eating" problem in the winter too. I have very limited food space (I…
  • http://www.self.com/tips/jumpstart/workout/jillian-michaels-calorie-burning-cardio-plans That's her cardio plans on self.
  • Yup. She has one that is an elliptical and stair stepper and a few others as well. There's 5 total listed.
  • I have a friend who has a bad habit of not wiping things off. After a post-workout stretching session I saw my friend just standing waiting for me as I pulled out the sanitary spray. I flat out asked her if she planned on wiping off her mat. It's just gross. The gym I use when I'm at home (as opposed to my school) is great…
  • I went to the gym today (day 3 of my get-fit break) and did an awesome (yet exhausting) workout. I'm a subscriber to self magazine (although you can view all their online stuff w/o a subscription) and they currently have a "Lose 8lb in one month" competition with tips from Jillian Michael's. I decided to try out one of her…
  • those are some of my favorite flavors. I also like orange creamsicle. I'm the same way, I hate chunks of fruit in my yogurt, it should be smooth, not chunky. I pretty much just search through the blue labels and stay away from the fruit flavored, blueberry patch and strawberry usually have fruit in them.
  • I just joined MFP yesterday after deciding that my winter break is all about getting fit. I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 142. This summer I started out at 160lbs and by the start of school I was down to 135. My goal of keeping up with my workouts and toning at school didn't really happen, and I put back a few pounds. I'm…
