  • Rn too. I sleep in on my night shift then nap. I usually have a "breakfast meal" before my 7 pm shift. I will pack a salad then split it in my 12 hour shift. I will have my "supper" at about 9:30 pm. For snacks I pack fruit, cereal, yogurt. The thing that kills me is, I shop in the morning as I live rural, not always…

  • Where is your stress fracture? What did your doc say? I am heavy too so I have been using an elliptical trainer....also a bike is good.

  • I am a turtle! Slow and steady is my mantra. Congrats on stopping smoking, that is huge. Just keep going, you are great!
  • I am very proud of my achievements as a heavy runner. I also get great joy in surrounding myself with the positive supportive nature of the running community. My family along with some co-workers have made a few remarks that stick with me, such as "you don't have a runners body" and because you are heavy it is bad for your…
  • I am so used to feeling invisible that I am uncomfortable whenever anyone notices anything new or changed about me. I wonder if the comments come from a sincere place or if it is just conversation. I usually politely say thanks then try to change the topic off of me. Gaining weight for me was done secretly, so losing…
