I just bought some little goldfish crackers. Serving size is 30g or "approximately 51 crackers" (so, er, 50?). And the package contains 187 g. Yup.

I never blow-dry my hair and wash it only every 2-3 days, and have no trouble with it, even though nearly every sport I do (cycling, horse riding, and fencing) requires a helmet. Just let it dry and fluff it up again with a brush. I am very curly, though, your mileage may vary.

Zork is slightly before my time - but I have LeChuck's theme as my ringtone! Nice! I'm currently an elven paladin in the PFS games, but consider myself more of a halfling bard. (Though I'm taking levels in ranger IRL).

I'm talking *really* old school - tabletop gaming. I mostly play D&D/Pathfinder, but am hosting a Traveller session this week and will be running an obscure Dutch system next week. But nice to meet you, Goldmoon!

Packages that tell you the nutrition facts per 100g but not how much is in the package are the worst!

I told a kid at work the locked door was where we keep the dragon, even though it's just the recycling store.

I only seem to lose weight when I'm sick, so can't help you there! Toning-wise, my legs are in great shape because I do a lot of walking/hiking, and spend a lot of time in the saddle of either a horse or a bicycle. The rest of me is flabby because I can't put a lot of weight on my right arm, so most upper-body stuff is out.

I just have a very active job! I'm a ranger and usually cover between 8 and 15 km per day at work, and at least 20 flights of stairs. Plus lots of heavy lifting. This job's just a little too out of the way to cycle to - it involves too many major roads - but I go to my part-time jobs and do most other errands on a bicycle.…

Sorry, I'm a bit far away to ride with you - but welcome!

I'd log that under snow shovelling, linmin!

Mmmm, chestnuts. I love chestnuts. (Just don't let Jackson hear that, he's black.) Hope you get a lovely horse of whatever colour back in your life soon!

Not to be all smug about it, but it's times like this that I'm glad I'm a vegetarian. I don't find the fact that horses are being eaten particularly upsetting in itself. I do think it's terrible that they were able to be inserted into the production line unnoticed. And of course, I'm very much against the way horses are…

That's not two ingredients. That's one ingredient and a box of processed junk.
-
Yeep, how irresponsible can you get? Riding a horse that hasn't been out for three weeks, without a hat, on the road, while pregnant - even any two of those would be a really bad combination!
-
I agree - you should up it a little, though you don't have to go crazy. If you don't plan on eating back exercise calories, at least put your settings on "active" to get an idea of the right amount to eat, then ignore what you exercise. I eat kwark (quark) for breakfast - to make it taste better, I usually mix half a…

Whew, so it's not just me! I think that's why I tend to make friends with men more than women.

Oh, and I'm actually allergic to chicken (one of the reasons I went veggie), so chicken juice soaked into the chopping board is problematic beyond just salmonella. Hence why I use the plastic ones that are easier to rinse.

Thank you - that's what I think, which is why I don't want to be too quick with any ultimatums. She says that even growing up, her family always told her off for wasting so much... Some things really do seem to be cultural (for example, she was angry that I bought pots and pans because she said that no one woman in a…

I'm having a "cheat day" today, meaning I'm logging nothing and eating whatever I want, want being the operative word. I've had a high fever since yesterday, and have enough trouble getting myself to eat anything without the added bother of logging it. It's also my birthday, so I was planning a "treat" dinner anyway, but…

She's already involved with those organisations, she just doesn't seem to think she needs to adapt to anything. Sigh. I'm looking for apartments now. This place is cheap, but I can afford to spend a little more for my health...

Long story short, she's originally from a third-world country where education prospects were dim for women anyway, and which is currently in a state of civil war. That's why I feel sorry for her; she'd have difficulty finding another place to stay. I wonder how much of it is cultural. On the other hand, political…

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks she's crazy. Since she never pays her rent on time either, I hope I can get rid of her... Sadly, through no fault of her own, she doesn't even have a high school education, and refuses to attempt to learn *anything*. She refuses to eat off the dishes belonging to me and my housemate…

Nice to meet you, and welcome back!

Well, yes. I'm going to "refute" things that simply aren't true, like people suggesting that I don't log everything, because I do. If it were that simple, I'd have figured it out myself, thanks. And while I'm aware that on any fitness website you're inevitably going to get people claiming that weightlifting is the one true…

Their feet were all fine - he's a farrier and keeps them all barefoot with boots for roadwork. It's the rest of them that was the problem! Had a really good groundwork session today, totally unplanned. I got Jack out to ride him in the paddock and he nearly ran over the top of me and dragged me into the next box over…

Why put sugar or sweetener on top at all? I like my shredded wheat plain. Or Cheerios, but they're too addictive.
-
Thanks, I'll have a look whether they're available here.

That sounds scary - glad you had a hat on! Speaking of, I had a similar incident and need a new hat. Can anyone recommend a comfortable model? Preferably adjustable, since I have a fairly oval head and they all seem to be round.

Now that you mention it, I know my cortisol level is chronically (as in measured over years) elevated to several times what it should be - but again, my doctor doesn't seem to think it's a problem. Wouldn't it just be water weight then? I don't believe that eating meat is inherently evil. (Except chicken. Because I'm…

Because a few people were saying it would let them give better advice, I've just opened my food diary. (Edited for typo).
