  • Phew! Thank goodness I got back on track... an hour in the pool with chicken and tomato afterwards. Drinking lots of water helps.

  • Disaster! I didn't take pain med for PT so it was a little tough. We may have gotten 90 degrees bend in my knee. So that is my absolutely stupid excuse for getting french fries! I'd have been almost ok without those. Guess I need to make it a rule... no matter how it beckons, BK is off limits. If I really truly need to…

  • I was so busy over the weekend, I barely managed to record my food. I did ok. The exciting feedback.... on Sunday I walked through the church without my cane. That's huge! I just got back from the pool. The first accomplishment is that I had a few almonds and some pea soup instead of globbing on to the worst thing I could…

  • Nice balance, Theresa. Your post is encouraging.
  • I had a potluck last night. They are oriented for kids so usually pretty tough. I managed to pass the lasagna and all the sweets. Had one tamale with fresh salsa, a small spoonful of the sloppy joe meat, dry salad and a tangerine. I've been under my calorie allocation every day so far. Today was better, but I haven't…
  • Thank you so much. I love this group. By reporting in, I push a little harder on the exercises, watch a little closer on the food. I have actually avoided all fries since I started - just because I don't want to report them.
  • My posts are gone. Does that mean the photo of my feet doesn't count as a self portrait? Oh well, it's ok. This group got me going faithfully on my bed exercises. That was a real gift. Thanks anyway

  • Morning... 50 lifts each side - front, side, oblique. 30 ankle flex, 20 knee flex and the stretches. Don't lift too high - that stresses joints. Breakfast: yoghurt and blueberries with tea. Lunch: Vegetable broth with tomatoes and garlic. I'm trying the JUDDD approach - one day is normal, the next day is 500 calories…
  • I don't know if I'm a good fit for this group, but I love finding a group where Day 1 is also my first day for MFP. I ate less than my calorie recommendation and got enough water, I wasn't at all prepared - I just needed to start, so I'm ok with that. I need to up the veggies and start weighing and measuring. I can do…
  • Hi, I'm a cradle Catholic with 12 years of Catholic school, an Associate of the Sisters of Social Service, a lector, and catechist for both year one and year 2 for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children at a large Franciscan parish. Working with the children is always challenging me to understand and communicate my…
  • Ok, I'm brand new, but here's why I joined this group: Ever hear of a Hail Mary pass? When things feel particularly hopeless, we turn to Mary. When the physical therapist is pushing on my knee (and I can't push back) and tears are running down, I started saying Hail Mary's. I don't count or think of anything. I just know…
