Would love to be friends! I'll be 59 this year, and have dieted on and off since seventh grade. We are empty-nesters this year and I had both knees replaced last July. To get ready for surgery I joined MFP and did very well. Post surgery, not so well - partially due to recovering and not being able to move around. So I…

Fantastic!! What an inspiration you are! Thanks for sharing :)

I'm wporking on losing a total of 108 pounds, but know i need to lose about 15 more than that total! Helps to have MFP friends to share motivation and successes, as well as building up a bad time. Feel free to add me, we are all in this together!

Woo hoo! Sounds like you are on track and doing well!! I'm also working on figuring out what works and what is best for me for the long term. We all have moments, but the fact that we pull our selves up and try again is the key! Congrats on your accomplishment, slow and steady wins the race :)

I have followed you on your journey and you are such an inspiration! Awesome!! I too had to lose weight for knee replacement surgery (I'm 58), and was lucky enough to have both my knees done in July of last year :) It has been life changing for me, and I hope yours will be soon. Exercising is so much easier, even though…

I'm back too! Have been gone since July '13, and need to do damage control, and get back to eating healthy and exercising. Feel free to add me, I love the motivation and support from MFP members :) We can do this!

I was on MFP from Nov. '12-July '13, and now I'm back! Have gained some back, but knew I needed to start eating healthy and exercising again. I rely on the motivation and support I get from MFP - it's the best! Feel free to add me, the more friends, I think the easier it can be :)

Way to go! I'm not there yet, but working on it :)

Honestly.....this is ridiculous! We are all at the gym with the same goal - get/stay fit. However, some of you are the ones that make others very uncomfortable there. How sad that you have to bully in this day and age. Just a smile or an encouraging word is what we need, not the looks and attitude. What also amazes me are…

Really?? ....I sure hope you don't work out at my gym! I'm sure you are perfect in every way and can afford to talk about others...sad

Weekends are tough for me too, with the whole family around and out of my Mon-Fri routine. I don't have cheat days, I just keep it in my daily cal. and eat anything in moderation, but mostly healthy choices.
-
Awesomw!! Looking great!! Thanks for sharing your progress :)
-
My best tip also is to log in each time you eat if possible, or keep a list until you can do so. Also, remember each day is a new day to conquer. If you slip up, just try to get back on track asap :)

I Love this!! I passed up bingeing on junk at home when I was by myself and bored, then made a haelthy dinner :)

Hi! I'm 5'2" and started at 262. I am trying to "life change" myself down to 160-170. You're right! Pounds on us shorter gals looks way different and we can't put on much without it really showing. How have you been doing? I've only been with MFP for three weekd and so far am very proud of myself. Let me know how you are…
