What a wonderful success story, eh? ;) You've done great, especially over this long and cold, cold, cold, cold winter!

+1 I too love to find things that help me reach my calorie goal...

The OP asked for advice on cutting out sugars. ADDED (keyword is ADDED) sugars are not in my meal plan, they are a once in a while thing when I decide to have desert at a restaurant. I lived this way for 2 years and I felt amazing with tons of energy, fell off the wagon for 1.5 years and felt like I was run over by a…

I'm talking about products that have no added ingredients. Plain yogurt is to me an ingredient, just like butter or milk would be. So like flour is an ingredient right? Oil is an ingredient? Eggs are an ingredient? A granola bar is a prepackaged food.

Ya, both my friend and I tried omega 3's... we both had the same reaction and had to stop.

She's eating fruit, there's her sugar.

How is it not sustainable? People don't NEED sugar. It's not an essential nutrient. It should be eaten in moderation. However some people due to health reasons need to eliminate it from their diets.

Unless you are dead set on creamer, switch to milk... You can find sugar-free bread Make your own homemade protein bars with protein powder and no sugar added Make your own granola bars Check out the specialty departments in your grocery store or health food store for sugar free products but look for products sweetened…

Omega 3's make me look like a teenager... Can't take them unless I want to hide my face all day.

Get all your food groups in (unless you are lactose.) You can't just eat veggies and fruit. Get some probiotics into you. Go see your doctor. There are stomach issues that can stem from a number of things (bad food choices, infections, antibiotics, medications, etc) that can make it hard for you to digest certain things.

It's supposed to help stabilize your hormones... which I could certainly use. Would make my other half a little happier the week before too lol I don't care so much about the weight gain for a week at a time, more my sanity.

Oil of oregano. The minute I have a sore throat or sniffles I take a shot glass, fill halfway with water, put 5 drops on top of the water and down it. I do this 3 to 4 times a day for a day or two. I have had sniffles and small sore throat several times this year, however have not ended up with a full blown cold. I haven't…

I just spit out my tea reading this... Good thing I didn't get it on my Apple.

1 pound a day?! You are eating more than just a snickers bar a day right?! :) What kind of treadmill did you get? The best way to eat a treat is to earn it first, I don't give my puppies cookies before they earn it right?! ;)

My rest day is Sunday but involves a hike with the dogs (or a snowshoe right now).

OP - I have had great success with Insanity at toning up. It's a toughy though.

I guess my point wasn't conveyed properly... an apple will make me feel satiated and is around 100 calories, one oreo cookie does not fill me up because there is nothing to it yet is 70 calories. So I can't overeat apples because I'm full after one apple, yet I would probably have to eat 6 oreos to equal the same…

[/quote] That's exactly how I am feeling now! It feels great to not crave it anymore. I stick to greek yogurt with fruits in the morning, or oatmeal with fruits and that usually keeps me full till lunch. I have always tried to take out added sugars, but I always ended up failing. This time I am 15 days in.. they say it…

Don't replace sugar cravings with sugar free snacks... Eat when you are hungry, and eat protein and veggies to fill you up.

I am a month into no added sugars or starches... Feel fantastic. There's a bucket of ice cream in the freezer for my husband, a package of cookies for him in the pantry, pop for him in the fridge... Yet I don't want any of them! My sugar comes from fruits and plain yogurt My other carbs come from veggies and 2 servings a…

Have you ever heard of anyone binging on apples??! No... Because apples make you feel full because they are full of fiber. Oreos on the other hand, you can eat a package and not feel full, you would just feel sick. Not mental at all.

Is it your TOM?... Or around that time? If it is it, it's highly likely the 4 lbs will be gone next week. Drink extra water.

My old boss says to me after I lose 35 pounds: "Are you sick? You lost weight. You look really skinny." Thanks jerk-face, I'm actually at 20% body fat... Pretty healthy/athletic place to be at. After gaining back 20 pounds from bad choices: "I'm glad you put on weight, you were too skinny before." So I guess you prefer…

What is your running program schedule like? Are you switching it up? Not just jogging all the time, but doing intervals for speed days and jogging for mileage days? Interval days I definitely have to push myself, but they are intervals so if I need to I will jog as slow as a turtle during recovery. For my long runs which I…

Tims 99% of the time. Starbucks is a treat when I want something fancy. Although those flavor shots at tims are pretty decent, and only like 5 calories or something small like that.?

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. I have come to realize I can control other people just as much as they can control me. The only thing you can control is your reaction to their ignorance, anger, rudeness, etc. When someone is being a jerk, I put on the biggest smile and am the…
