If you are eating them together, make the recipe for the entire thing. If you are going to eat them separate then separate the recipe. Maybe you will eat mashed cauliflower some other time separately so may be beneficial to just separate them off the bat?

Yes create a new recipe, put in number of servings and BAM! MFP does the calculations for you for nutrition per serving. Now because the recipe doesn't have the number of servings, play around with the serving number in the recipe creator until you have number of calories that makes sense for one meal. Once your done…

No you can make cauliflower into a lot of things. Pizza crust, rice, mashed potatoes, etc... just in the way you cook and prepare it. http://www.everydaymaven.com/2013/how-to-make-cauliflower-rice/ http://www.fitsugar.com/Low-Carb-Cauliflower-Crust-Pizza-Recipe-30739512…

I do cauliflower mashed potatoes with some sour cream and garlic. Tastes so much like garlic mashed potatoes!

Lower your carbs and increase protein... I get good results with 40% Carbs, 40% Protein, 20% Fat. But you can pick something around there... Just change it from what you are getting now.

I am doing the 17 day diet... which I don't even feel is actually a diet. Just retraining myself to get back to eating healthy and with a deficit. Because you can eat unlimited protein and vegetables I'm never hungry, yet have lost 12 lbs since I started the "diet" on February 3rd. And this is despite having some cheat…

I'm on day 51, and will more than likely repeat it once more after I finish. I was hoping the snow would clear up by the time I finished my first round, but still no sign of being able to run outside anytime soon.

I found because I am petite (I'm 5 foot) and not as heavy that I don't burn as many calories as what they suggested in the nutrition guide. Based on my HRM I only burn around 400-500 during the month two workouts. Could this be a factor? And there are definitely weeks where I feel like a swollen sausage... Hormones are…

I LOVE Sworkit! Amazing app that you put on your phone. If I have to go away for work or travel all I have to pack in my runners and phone. There's a variety of workouts too if you don't just want circuit training. Make your own circuit. Print out the names of 20-30 exercises that are higher intensity (but that you are…

This meal, no matter who I make it for is a hit! It's quick and easy too. 1 - tbps olive oil 1 - cooking onion 1 - clove of garlic 1 - 500g package of lean ground turkey Brown meat in large frying pan Once meat is browned add: 2 - hand fulls of mushrooms sliced 2 - bell peppers cubed Let the veggies soften up a bit then…

4 egg white omelet with whatever your favourite veggies are. Sprinkle of cheese if you can afford the calories. 1/4 cup salsa on top. Salsa makes a huge difference.

You are doing awesome! Look up pictures of body fat percentage and see the difference between 30% and a 25% body fat. If you are losing 1.5% every month, that means in 3 months you will drop about 5% and those results are very noticeable! I'm sure you didn't gain your weight over night so you can't expect to lose it…

Once a month. I'd never base it on weight loss. There are months where you may not lose a pound but could still be losing inches.

Although we go through life alongside our spouses... We don't need to want the same things 100% of the time. Your weight loss journey is your own and you have to work through what motivates you to stay on track. This motivation shouldn't be coming from your spouse, it should be coming from you. His support can be telling…

My dear... Please go seek help immediately... I'm very concerned about your mental state right now and although you say you wrote this post because you want to punish yourself, you are reaching out to strangers. I lost my brother to suicide when I was 18... He was a soldier and came back "mentally wounded" from war... He…

It's -13 here (-25 Celsius)... What I would do to be in Arizona right now...

You are totally allowed to eat more than 35% of your overall calories in protein... Just make sure you are getting in lots of fibre too.

Ok, so you are not body building or nothing :P Walking and yoga... Aim for one gram per lb of body weight, but at least get in 100 grams if you can't reach that goal. As you lose weight it will be easier to eat the one gram per lb of bodyweight :) Lean protein is your friend... At the beginning you may find that to get the…

Huh??? Don't listen to this statement. Protein will make you feel full and will help prevent you from losing muscle mass while dieting.
-
I would definitely suggest getting more than 60g a day... Can you tell me how many calories you are aiming for in a day? What is your workout schedule like?
-
It's not hard... I had to force myself to eat a second dinner tonight to avoid being at 900 cals.

I looked at your diary, I'd definitely up your protein if it's possible. And lots of people don't see results on the scale with insanity, but they see results in their measurements. And you may remember from the last time, best results will come in the second month.
