This is a hard one - and I admit, I was worried about this same thing when I first considered attempting major weight loss, that it would turn out I actually had bad features that the fat was hiding. Part of what finally changed my mind was someone who was attracted to me saying "Look, you ARE attractive, that's just…

I just figure if I'm close to my net calories for the day, I'll be fine - I have days I eat up to 2000/2100 calories after exercise calculations, but that's because I know I'll be miserable if I don't have an actual dinner.

Good luck! I've only started drinking just now that I've had my 21st birthday, and I'm realizing for the same reason why I can't make a habit out of it. (Plus which, quite frankly, beer tastes awful to me, so if I'm going to have the calories, I'd rather have a decent martini or other mixed drink.)

I had this same discussion with my nutritionist - she said that while this time of year is more common for red days, if you get used to tracking your calories no matter what, it makes getting back on track that much easier. If I were in your shoes, I would accept this as a tough day and resolve to do better tomorrow.

I admit, the cynic in me was afraid that this was going to say something like "All food makes you fat, so don't eat!"

UGH, this show - Jillian Michaels terrifies me, honestly. Also, it scares me that I used to lap up this show so much - I half wished that I were old enough to go on the show - thank God I had sensible parents.

Hearing it from strangers makes me a bit uncomfortable - especially when I was heavier, all I could think was "Look, I don't know you, so just what do you want from me?" If it comes from a friend or the boyfriend, I normally know his intentions well enough to handle it.

Jenny worked for me in that I lost the weight, but after all, they made the calories very easy. Staying sane after each summer was always a bit tough, and I really cracked this time.

My people! Hey ladies - I'm 5'2.5", was at 145 in October, looking to get back to 135, where I was at the end of the summer. My all time high was between 205 to 210. When I get down to 135, I think I'll be switching over to maintenance. Currently on 1460 a day for net calories. Normally, I wouldn't start a diet around this…

Hey bb, I'm Katie. Just turned 21. I'm trying this out for a little while. I lost a lot of weight on my own and through Jenny Craig, so now I just need something to count my calories for me.
