Definitely an adjustable bench and some freeweights. My hubby got a good deal on Bowflex adjustable dumbbells: http://tinyurl.com/4utulku. He bought them from a friend. I like them because they are currently within my lifting range, although they have other models that go higher; and they don't take up much space. I'd like…

Such a true, funny and well written post!

Ketostix definitely work differently for everyone. Personally, only first thing in the morning shows any color for me. Even the lightest pink means you're in ketosis. While I was trying to get into ketosis I would test all day long. But since I now keep my net carbs (and most days total carbs) under 20g, I've given that…

Salt & pepper. Loving all the great ideas here!

Congrats! You are absolutely adorable!

At the end of the day if I need to boost my fat I love a tablespoon of coconut oil with a bit of sugar free chocolate or cheesecake Jello powder. Sometimes I'll add cream too. Stir & enjoy slowly.

Those look & sound amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on your amazing success! Both personally and with the Superbowl :) ~Dedicated Pats Fan

@cominupmilhou - What a great first day you had. Looking forward to hearing how today goes. And the fact that you get to go snowboarding daily - jealous!

I wish it weren't true. But it is. And not due to BM (unfortunately). Before I started BPC my weight would fluctuate like crazy. But it's also one of the reasons I weigh myself daily. I am completely fascinated by how my body responds to food, water, exercise, being a girl, etc. It drives some crazy, but I like to look for…

Couldn't agree more. I think the BPC really helps me take a step in that direction, the daily IF. I don't think I could do a 24 hour fast, nor do I have any desire. The BPC allows me to take my 8+ hour nighttime fast to another 7-9 hours.

You can track net carbs, but you have to follow these instructions: http://cavemanketo.com/configuring-mfp/. Follow these instructions to the letter. If you use Chrome, don't bother with the Tampermonkey option, several (including myself) have not had luck with it. He will tell you what percentages to plug in, which in…

The last 2 months I actually lost weight! I take Dandelion daily, but for the first day or two I up my dosage to 3x per day. I also try to eat more diuretic veggies.

I love my Fitbit One. I love how easily it syncs with MFP and makes the calorie adjustments based on my normal level of activity daily.

I hate when people say that "muscle weighs more than fat". Not true. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. A pound of muscle is smaller than a pound of fat. A pound of muscle burns more calories per hour/day than a pound of fat. But neither of those facts mean that muscle weighs more than fat.

I'm not ready to quickly draw an observation from my personal BPC experiment. As I mentioned this morning, I gained 4# after not having BPC this morning. Well after my workout late morning, I weighed myself (I don't know why as I usually do first thing in the morning only). Anyhow, I dropped 3+ pounds in just a few hours,…

Just sent you a note on this. Hope it helps!

Minimum 65% fat daily here! Love me some coconut oil & grass fed butter!

Feel free to add me too

A box of these just arrived at my door. It's not time for one, but I had to have a nibble. Absolutely delicious! Consistency is just like the little chunks you find in ice cream. I don't even think I'll have to microwave them!

Eric - Here is a great site on learning the basics of IF: http://www.theiflife.com/intermittent-fasting-101-how-to-start-part-i/

Feel free to add me. I'm keto, and am working my way toward IF.

I came across a couple of sites yesterday for runners that discussed using coconut oil before a long run, and the benefits they gained, including energy. Do a little more research so that you can achieve your fitness goals without kicking yourself out of ketosis, and stay on track with your weight loss goals. Once you're in…

My first 20# lost were with no exercise. I just added 2-3 days of the elliptical, that along with a couple other tweaks to my diet helped me break through. I've definitely heard of folks losing on keto without exercising; personally the more the scale moves, the more I want to too. I get excited that I can do a little…

In case we're not "friends" on MFP, I wanted to share my most recent experience. For 7 days I did BPC, then a snack and dinner. I stayed within my desired macros and kcals. I lost weight 4 of the 7 days, and days 5-7 consecutively; a total of 2.6#. Yesterday I had plans to meet a friend for breakfast, so I had 1/2 a…

It's not a meal, but one of the tastiest, most wallet-friendly foods is Kale. It's considered a superfood, loaded with antioxidants and vitamins. My grocery store usually has it for $0.99 - $1.99 a pound. Last time I grabbed a bunch it was $0.17 (yes, you read that right). I recently discovered a pound of precut, prewashed…

I've been doing low carb/keto (under 20g net carbs daily) for 2.5 months. I first watch my macro percentages, and my net carbs, and then calories. I'm almost always under my calories. When I get to my goal weight, I will consider adding in minimal new carbs, only healthy/clean ones; like sweet potatoes and oatmeal every…

Yes. I have a bottle of organic Dandelion and take 3, 3x per day. Just for those 1-2 days, and then I go back to once a day.
-
I don't always eat back my calories. But know that some days my body needs to. I like that it gives me some wiggle room to eat more (and stay within my macros) if I'm hungry. But I don't feel guilty whether I do eat them, or don't eat them all back.

1) It is possible for you to drink too much water. Aim for minimum 64 ounces to 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight. (Example: If you weigh 160 pounds, put your top limit around 80 ounces) 2) Dandelion capsules and/or tea. I swear by this stuff! My last two periods I actually lost weight by incorporating Dandelion. I start…
