My birthday! Perfect day to start

ARe vegetables cheap where you are? If so use them to fill up. dried beans and lentils are cheap. Just soak the beans over night. I have been in dire poverty so I know how it feels. A can of stewing tomatoes with some veg and beans or lentil is nice over rice, add curry. Tofu even. I stay away from meats when low on cash.…

Thank you everyone. I get it now. What I was doing was non stop squats, lunges blah blah..I didn't think of aerobics..will try that.

Sometimes you find a most helpful bit of info that makes a big diff. Thanks for this.

Holy crows girl. You look so thin already. Perhaps your new muscle mass is keeping your weight at the same. Also your body might be saying, okay, enough, I need this weight to survive.

I am exhausted reading your list of activities. My advise would be, be gentle with yourself. Your fatigue may be from all the responsibilities you have. Are you sleeping well? What about swimming? Treat yourself at night with some gentle stretching and a hot bath. Get rid of sugar and processed carbs and caffeine. Take…

See a doctor and until then put ice on it for no more than 15 minutes at a time. Usually that is the best thing to do immediately after injuring. Hot baths to get the blood flow moving.

Unless you buy your meat from a small farm that raises its meat free range and without feeding it crap and injecting it with hormones, antibiotics and steroids, your meat is NOT clean.

I blame yoga pants for this obsession.

When you say cut the sugar, does that me an you are also counting carbs? Because that acts like sugar in the body..If you are eating very low carbs, you will shake.

I really like this. For my whole life I have not listened to my body and treated myself well. I took up drinking and smoking as escape at end of day when pain is at it's worse. Those are my habits to kick right now. Re: walking. I find that as much as I love walking, after about 15 minutes I get such terrible midback pain…

It's a real challenge isn't it? I have done some weight work over the years but always end up suffering for it. That is if I don't pace myself. It's one of the pitfalls of this disorder. We tend to feel good and over do it. I have a great yoga for bad backs DVD by Peggy Cappy. I always find those exercises stimulating. Any…

Holy Crows, it doesn't matter where we live does it? There is an ideal of what is sexy that is constantly promoted and pushed down our throats.. The only people who will change all this is us women. We need to stop falling in that trap. I know, it's so bloody hard. As an older woman it doesn't have the same power over me…

I share your pain. I too have shards of glass in my throat..arghhhhh..my ear tubes hurt and my head is starting to. I ended up eating chicken soup with tons of garlic, ginger, hot sauce and green onions to help ward it off. I was away this Cmas so I didn't log in. Truthfully, not until I got sick did I realise I MUST get…

I know I look cranky but you can add me also !

Heck I am on here to deal with my three fold addiction of cigarettes, beer and night time tv...and to get more exercise... It's the best website I have found yet....cheers. Oh and of course to get slimmer.

I ended up with a cold on Cmas day. Throat is so sore I can hardly swallow...I've decided this is the time to quit the cigs and beer...not New year's. This is the time to start getting good sleep and walking and getting my cholesterol down and just working toward the vision I see of myself. I'll be 50 in two weeks. We all…

Gabapentin is also an anti seizure, used for epilepsy. A milder form so often used with another med. It's certainly a chicken an egg theory isn't it..does the issue in skull cause shoulder pain ir vice versa. Can you afford a chiropractor? Just make sure they don't do any adjustments to the neck. Or a massage therapist who…

First off I want to say, have your spine checked. Often referral pain can end up in the head. I have had surgery and have myofascial chronic pain plus a host of issues over the years. Often I can get headaches from a muscle in my shoulder that is tight. Still, go for a second opinion of the MRI if you can. I was put on…
