I agree with what you say. It isn't a good idea to drop the calories too drastically. 1800 sounds like a good start. Remember you need your energy to feel good to be able to work out.

Your journey has truly been amazing. Lately I have found myself lacking the motivation I first had when I started MFP. Glad I surfed through the message boards tonight. Stories like yours helps me and I'm sure others in my shoes remember the importance of not giving up! Thank you :flowerforyou:

After reading your post I would like you to motivate me!!! Sounds like you're very active. I'm still not at a very active level. I do an hour of walking almost everyday. I want to kick it up but my knees still ache a bit from all this weight,

Ladies, you sound exactly like me. I tend to jump on the scale every single day to see a change in my weight only to get discouraged. That is why now I decided to wait my first 30 days. Next Thurs will be my weigh in.

You already have 8 lbs. down.....Good for you!! I have around 70 lbs to lose as well. I joined MFP in November. I started doing zumba but it is a little hard for me to keep up. I have switched over to walking to strengthen my muscles a bit. I'm waiting to hit 30 days to weigh myself but I so afraid I won't see any…

I need to feel accountable as well to keep going at it. I started in November. I want to get out of the 200's. As the days are going by it is starting to get harder to keep the motivation going. I think a weigh in group would be a wonderful idea. Please add me!!!

I am at 230 right now. Sometimes I see the finish line so far away that I doubt I can ever get to be under 200 but then I read stories like yours and it keeps me going. Thanks for the inspiration that I too can get there.

You are already looking good there at 199. Imagine how awesome when you hit your goal. I just started this week. Your results are really inspiring me. I need to lose about 70Lbs.

I do exactly the same thing. I go through different work out videos until I find something I like. This week I have been trying Zumba videos on You tube. Sometimes it's hard for me to keep up but they really are so much fun.
