Since I've been working out consistently, my symptoms have nearly gone away completely (other than moodiness, but that might be in my head). Push through it. Even if you work out at a lower intensity, it's still better than sitting on your tuckus. Plus, it will give your mood a boost.

Since you're trying to eat clean, you might want to omit the sugar free syrup and splenda since these are artificial. I personally can't get by without a little calorie free sweetener in my life.

Some people may disagree with this, but after reading the book "The 400 calorie fix", I've come to understand (and find true in my life) that 300 - 400 calories is really the benchmark of a satisfying meal. Obviously, this is assuming they are not empty calories. If you're on a 1200 calorie diet, this means you eat three…

PopSecret 100 calorie pop. Just salty and buttery enough, and you really get a ton in one of those bags!

As a side note, I am eating between 1500 and 2000 calories per day so that I am netting around 1600 after exercise. I didn't think I'd lose much weight on that amount, but it's starting to pay off. It was slow getting started...mostly due to getting used to the change in habits, but when I stick to that, I'm definitely…

I think you answered your own question. Your net calories should be above 1200 after exercise, unless you are seriously overweight (which you aren't). You will see an initial drop (water weight mostly) when you switch to a extremely low calorie diet, like the one you've been on...but it will peter out eventually because…

I love Guinness. I once read that it has fewer calories than Coors Light. I probably won't be drinking too much though cause I have a two hour drive ahead after the Parade.
-
Thanks guys. I also thought about eating breakfast before the parade - who knows if it's going to happen now as we have about a foot of snow on the ground. But either way, I can enjoy people's company and not eat the junk food.

This used to happen to me too. From what I understand, when you are on the elliptical, you never lift your feet off the platform, so it's unlike running where there would be breaks each time you lifted your foot and your blood would be able to circulate better. Maybe try the treadmill instead if it's really a problem.

I agree with the others, you're tummy is definitely significantly smaller. I said to myself, "Is that really only 18 lbs." Sorry you lost your measuring tape. You should def get another one!

I'm in Shrewsbury and always looking for more people to motivate me.

I always appreciate it when people post their story along with their weight loss pictures because then it's a real image of how much hard work and DEDICATION it takes to do this. Your story is definitely an inspiration!

Great job!!! It's so amazing to see the dedication of members here at MFP! Thanks for sharing.

You have done awesome. And I wholeheartedly disagree with the negative nancy who said that you don't have muscle definition. Your abs are rock solid now. Just because you don't have huge biceps doesn't mean the muscle isn't there. Seeing your transformation has really motivated me today. Awesome job!!!

Awesome job! My husband and I are struggling to make time on busy days too (or rather, to find energy). You're an inspiration!

Now admittedly I didn't read the entire 13 pages of this post, but to reply to the original message...who are you to judge? People are trying to find balance in their lives. Not everybody is a clean eating purist. What's more...we live in a culture where 'unclean' foods are thrown in our faces from early childhood. Many of…

Hi there! I think the best thing you can do to improve your weight loss is to increase your daily caloric burn without increasing what you're eating to compensate (so long as you're staying above the healthy recommended 1200 calories per day - that's AFTER exercise). I was messing around with the 'goals' tool on here and…

I did Day 1 of Power 90. "Sweat 1-2" for 30 minutes.
-
Hey, I am about to start Power 90 on the first of the year as well. My husband will be doing it too, and we'll be holding each other accountable, but he has a very hectic schedule so I don't know if we will get off from one another. It would be good to have the additional support on this website. I'm very excited about it…

Amen to Zourika's response! And believe me, I struggle with that so much! I find I end up bargaining with myself to get more of the junk food I love. And I look forward to a day when eating right actually feels like what I WANT to do instead of what I HAVE to do. If I use food as a reward for my weight loss, it only…
