Hello! My sleeve was on 2/4/14, and I looooooove my sleeve!!! I'm lucky I still like protein shakes - so many people in my support group say they can't stand them after surgery.

I've lost 120lbs so far (40 to go) and with it I've lost my sleep apnea/snoring, severely high triglycerides, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes (I'll always be considered diabetic but it's controlled without meds now), bladder leakage, rotten attitude and self-loathing. Healthy life feels so GOOD!

I'm on a two week pre-op liquid diet of 700-900 calories/day, almost all protein. The first week I felt like I was in starvation mode - weak, emotional, exhausted, cold, head-achy, clouded thinking, cranky. Every time I stop sugary foods I go through withdrawls - headaches, flu-like exhaustion, foggy thinking, & depression. After 5-7 days I feel better. I'm hoping not to fall off that wagon again because it's awful to go through.
