I'd suggest entering this info into the MFP app rather than a different online calculator if you plan on tracking with MFP - you did it the right way choosing sedentary based on your everyday activity (type of work you do, etc), and then log your exercise separately. The app will tell you how many cals you should eat to…

They have salads too. They are basically the sub ingredients with no bread chopped up in a bowl, but still.

Unless they teach you how to eat the right amount of food and get the right amount of burn for the weight you want to maintain for the rest of your life, they don't work. They promote the line of thought that being overweight is like a disease that you can cure by losing weight, and once you're cured, you don't have to…

You can make any donut (or any food for that matter) pretty easy on the calories if you only eat part of it. I just don't like the "heath tax" put on tiny food that is basically the same as the larger version you can buy at a fraction of the price.

Don't worry about sugar unless you are diabetic. Log your calories and stay within your goal for the day. You will lose weight. Please let that sink in!

High protein and lifting is a good idea while you lose weight to help maintain your current muscle, but you're not putting on significant muscle mass if you lost 18 pounds in two months. You need a calorie surplus to gain/build or a deficit to lose. You can't really do both simultaneously. You'll definitely see some new…

Eat foods that satisfy you and keep you full while maintaining a calorie deficit. For many people a low carb diet works well. Personally I don't feel full unless I get some carbs so low carb/sugar doesn't work.

It's just logic. The diet soda you drink is water plus some flavoring. Why would that negate the water? You also get water from food you eat. That's why the whole "drink 8 cups a day" thing recently changed to "just drink when you're thirsty." Your reaction to caffeine is another issue. I'm sure your doctor would advise…
-
Does that evaporate the water that still makes up 90%+ of what you're drinking?

Peanut butter.. if it's in the house I can finish a jar over the course of the day without even realizing I did it
-
I do it unintentionally most days too. Don't buy into the stuff about it doing metabolism magic, but it definitely helps me hit a good deficit daily.
-
I could never do it, I never feel satisfied without carbs. Just stay in a caloric deficit and you will lose weight. It's really that simple.
-
Sadly me too lol

It is not bad or good. Sugar is the same regardless of where it comes from. Your body doesn't know if it came from a strawberry or a bowl on your table. It just processes it like it always does.
-
But if you happen to eat a surplus number of calories, you will gain weight regardless if it is unrefined or not processed.
-
If you need protein with the most efficient calorie/macro ratio then they are worth it. If you have calorie/macro room in your budget then try and get it through regular food. Either way you can't go wrong.

Your calories out are greater than your calories in.
-
Consume fewer calories than you burn over an extended period of time.
-
I've agreed with every single post of yours but this is just so wrong.
-
Worse in what way? Why do you think either one of them is "bad?"
-
Tell your husband to consider how many millions of gallons of diet coke that have been consumed over the decades it has been available...If it actually caused any of these issues, it would be well documented and people would not buy it. There would be nothing to debate. Also ask how something with zero calories would make…
-
I tend to focus on trying to get my balance of macros over the course of the day in total rather than worrying about individual meals.
-
Correct, it's already calculated as long as it says "cooked." Most bacon isn't that bad compared to other meats, especially if you go for the center cut
-
You won't gain pounds of muscle in a caloric deficit. You're either losing or gaining.
-
If you gained weight it likely means you either underestimated your calories in, overestimated your calories out, or probably some of both. As others have said it is a process and you need to adjust your numbers until you find what makes the scale start to move. But before you do this, the most important thing you can do…
-
Just adding to the "don't worry about sugar" crowd. Keep your calories in line and you'll lose weight. Many people find that cutting sugar makes it easier for them to manage their calorie intake, but that's the only reason it works. Don't buy into the whole sugar-is-the-devil fad.

Many almond/cashew/coconut milk type products have added calcium. You get more per serving than with dairy milk. I don't know if you consider that a supplement, but it really doesn't make a difference.

For some reason I seem to get full a lot faster after fasting. Weirdly I can't seem to finish an entire pizza like I can if I'd been eating normally.

You can pretty much ignore anything with his name associated with it

If a woman is hungry she should eat
