Not an ex - but I've got a not so nice sister in law whose jaw hit the floor when she saw me at Christmas time. I smiled and kept on going :-D

I belong to a small gym at my township's rec center, it's almost an 'everybody knows your name' kind of place. I am definitely the biggest female I have seen there. But I just put on my headphones and start working. Honestly the yuppies who go in in groups, take up all the treadmills and chat at 1.5 MPH for an hour have…

Clearance racks, altering (elastic in the back of my dress pants does wonders), thrift shops. I don't have much of a clothes selection right now, but since the seasons are about to change it doesn't seem right to get any more winter stuff that I won't be able to wear next winter. It's kind of deperssing to not have many…

I log as I go on my phone, unless I know there is a certain meal planned and I don't want to mess up and be short calories for it, then I will log ahead.

I hate the scale - at most I weight in twice a month. I don't want to stress over normal flucuations. I don't even have a scale at the house, only at the gym.

I am doing pretty well, discovering new exercises, taking it one day at a time! Friends are starting to notice the weight loss too, which is definitely motivating.

My gym allows it, and I take my 15 and 12 yr old daughters. The 12 yr old does cardio only, mostly bike. The 15 yr old does mostly cardio, but a little bit of weight training, aimed specifically at helping her with marching band performance (she is in a very competitive marching band that has consistantly won the…

I definitely struggle with this! I have done the following, though it still doesn't mean I am perfect. I don't keep snacks in the house that I like - IE my husband loves Chips AHOY cookies, I could be dieing and wouldn't eat them, so I keep them for him. I allow extra calories for eating after supper, and they are alloted…

I have been offered the opportunity by several Drs. The side effects of it are not worth it for me.

A co-worker's wife is making homemade fasnachts (donuts) I will be having one. But it also will be within my calorie allotment for the day.

Lots of great suggestions so far! I will add - use a smaller plate - plate still looks full - it just doesn't hold as much.

My husband is crazy fussy about food. I make sure that one thing I cook he will eat, if he snubs his nose at the rest, oh well. My kids are very good eaters, so I am lucky there, but I will say they are even better about things when they get to pick out veggies and fruits.

I would love to do them, but can't justify the pricing my local YMCA has. I have never let my shape in a bathing suit upset me (I put on a coverup outside the pool) I love the water, always have. I do have a hot tub at home and I will frequently do stretching in it, it's not big enough for action aerobics though.
