I often feel overwhelmed by the amount of weight I have to lose. I struggle so much with food addiction and it can be so hard to stay on track. I have set a goal to lose 1 pound a week. That is what's manageable for me. Just keep trying. Don't ever give up.

I actually agree with you! For me, I tried 1200 calories a day to "jump start" my weight loss and it has had the opposite effect. I agree with many of the other comments. Set small goals. "I want to lose 5 pounds." Then, just keep setting that goal until you arrive at your destination. I often think of the line from the Bill Murray movie "What about Bob?": "Baby steps, untie the knots."
