Please feel free to ad me as well. I know how you feel. I worked so hard for a year or two and lost weight. Then I gained half of it back in the last several months. I wasn't utilizing MFP like I once was and I thought I could do it on on my own. Without exercising as frequently and not watching my food as much, I started…

This looks awesome! I bought some a week ago from the local farmer's market. It was three times as much in quantity for half of the price. I like the idea of making your own too. Thanks for sharing

Hi There! I don't host Thanksgiving, but I do host Easter. Every Easter I do two roasted veggie dishes. If I go to my in-laws, they always do canned veggies. But when I host I like to show off how delicious and healthy roasted veggies are. Asparagus is one of my favorites to do. But you could do any veggies you like:…

Hi There! I need support to! :grumble: I am usually good to go and either maintain or lose consistently. But I'm also rather close to my goal weight. About 10 more pounds and being more lean and tone is my goal. But for some reason... I'm sure I can figure it out  I am maintaining too long or gaining a little. I'm…

I make myself get up for everything. Instead of printing something out to the copier and waiting for a pile, I get up constantly. I think this has really made a difference. I also walk around and try to make mini trips for everything. I also squeeze by butt muscles a lot in my chair. :blushing: I like everyone's ideas... I…

There is an option for strength training under the cardio category. I use this setting. Of course, if you had a HRM you could also create your own and adapt to your calories burned in connection with your actual heart rate.

Yeah, if you are getting sugar from fruit it really is way better than processed/packaged foods. How about peanut butter or nuts? I know peanut butter has sugar, but it may not be too bad? Nuts have a lot of calories but are low in sugar in sodium. I'm addicted to the Emerald Cocoa Almonds!!!!! They are my go to…

Wow! People can be so horrible. The point of the site is for positive and constructive feedback. I am sorry you received nasty messages. On the flip side, WOW on your 5K!!!! I'm so proud and happy for you. I've never done one because I don't feel ready or secure yet. So I can understand how an event like that can be a…

Hey there! I can surely offer some things that have helped me. I've had tons of stress over the last year. My mom got sick last summer and it seemed from that point, I was a yo-yo about watching my food and exercise. We were traveling so much to see her, that it was really difficult to make it work. Now that they…

Subway can be great for calories but can pack lots of sodium! Eek. I do Subway veggie-style now a days. Also that new salad at Wendy's is great! If you have time to pop in and sit down. It's the berry chicken. It is really low cal and very delicious!

when I was losing the most, a lb a week, i was eating back all of my calories. but i made sure to exercise almost every day on some level and also to mix up my routine. this really helped! everyone is different, might take some experimentation. so just try a couple of ways and you will figure it out. good luck!

I agree with the others.. water. This happens to me a lot. If I don't take enough in over a day or two or maybe eat out and get too much sodium - I gain. And like barbiex3 says, - it's cool. It happens to all of us. I accept that the scale is not always going to be my friend. The goal for me is to figure it out -…

I haven't really given up anything overall. It's just moderation. The two things I did eat more often were Cheetos and Nutty Bars. I rarely eat those anymore. I still enjoy my favorite things though, such as Mexican food, Chinese, Indian Buffets, fancy homemade desserts. For me, it's just moderation and working hard when…

How exciting!!! Well, we are all here for you! I'm always working on my routine and logging in things. I've been slipping a bit on the weekends, so I need some motivation there. Good Luck!

Yes, definitely workout that day or extra for sure. AND always have water along with the drinking. I sip on water the entire night. The water keeps you hydrated and that is important. Also, opt for a light beer or a low cal mixed drink. My go to cocktail is gin and diet tonic with lime. Good Luck! :glasses:

We love fish at our house. I like to get tilapia, salmon, tuna, halibut. My two favorite ways to cook them are 1. grill 2. bake in the oven When it's on the grill, I put the fish in aluminum foil and drizzle a little olive oil and lemon juice on it. Then I top with tomatoes, onions or whatever veggies I have. Then I form a…
