I'm not allergic to gluten but I've started eliminating is as much as possible. Dairy as well. I still eat them but in moderation. Same thing with sweets. I have IBS too and have noticed my symptoms are much better. I feel better, feel "lighter" and do weight less. I still must eat healthy across the board and drink lots…

Great to see some snack ideas. My doctor has me gluten AND dairy free. I've been doing it a month now and was allowed to test my tolerance over the holidays. I have been told I don't have Celiac. So at my next appointment I hope to have more answers. I'm hoping to meet new people going down this new way of thinking gluten…

I have had IBS for years and have been able to manage it through diet and exercise the past 5 years. However, I have had some other medical issues tied into that. So my doctor has me gluten and dairy free. I've been doing this an it's been helping. I'm trying really hard to do this 100%. I'm hoping to reach out to other…

Hello group! I love MFP but recently have been told to go gluten and dairy free from my doctor. I am trying to branch out of my circle and join some new groups. Please friend me if you like. I'm a 33 stay at home / work part time first time mom of a sweet 9 month old. I have used MFP on and off for years with great…

Hi there! I'm new to this group as I'm going dairy free and gluten free for medical reasons. I LOVE LaraBars and Kind bars. I've never tried to make my own but I'd love to get some recipes!

Hi everyone! I'm not new to MFP but I'm new to this group. I'm looking for some new gluten free and dairy free friends along this new journey. I've been going to the doctor for years and I actually have a follow up appointment tomorrow morning to go over my new trial of gluten free and dairy free foods. He said…

I found the Mommys Making Milk setting. I'm going to use that to add my BF calories back.

Thank you so much! Mommy making milk! That's what I needed. That just made my day.

Hello Ladies! I'm back on MFP! I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant and in my third trimester. Now that the calories you are supposed to take has really jumped up, I want to make sure I'm eating enough, not ever eating and getting the right nutrients. I was a faithful MFP'r for over two years and lost about 20 lbs. Then…

I try to stay low on sodium too. One thing I try to always remember is to use fresh or frozen veggies and not canned goods. If I can avoid those, then I'm off to a good start on any recipe. And I don't season but with a dash of salt on all meals. Then my husband can add as much as he desires. I use NoSalt too.

To be as hot as I can be for our vacation in two weeks. Last big vacation before the baby making begins. So it's my last chance to prance around in little bikinis in the sand and drink mango smoothies!!!

Nutty Bars!!! I used to LOVE them. Would eat at a couple a week (years ago). Then I realized how many calories - like 500 I think. I ate one a few months ago and it didn't taste as good. Not worth it!

You look phenomenal. Great amazing terrific!

We eat a lot of spinach at our house. You can cook it down in a skillet and add other veggies to it, e.v.o.o., some lemon juice, salt and pepper and bamn! you have a side dish. You can make a spinach salad and add all kinds of things. Put it on sandwiches, put it in lasagna, omelets, frittatas, etc. It's so…

You are doing great! Not lame at all. I started with 5 lb weights and now I'm up to 10 lbs. By doing it every week, I see results and gain more confidence.

I'm 5'4" and my short term goal weight is 130. I'm at 133 right now. I'd like to be smaller and stronger, so I guess it shouldn't matter what the actual weight is really. I have really wide hips and a butt! I think my curves will stay even if my butt gets smaller. I'm more pear shaped you'd say. I like my curves a lot -…

Lasagna with garlic bread. Bacon. Tiramisu.

I totally agree! I love food. I love eating healthy and I also enjoy "no so good for you" food. Moderation is key and my motto. I workout 5-6 days a week for 30 minutes to an hour. And like you said, if you can't make, eat a little less. I had to do that yesterday. I eat my calories back - love it. Works for me.

Welcome! This site is amazing. I just love it. Good luck on your journey! :flowerforyou:

What a wonderful and inspiring story to read. Thank you for sharing your emotions and journey with us. So simple and just being yourself. Just terrific!

I totally agree with the original poster. We have to remember that the food we eat is what is nourishing the inside of our body too. You can look good and still have clogged arteries, gall bladder problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. We want to fuel our body with clean and fresh foods. Of course, it's very hard…

I have all of these ingredients at home. Hope to make this weekend! Great Super Bowl treat - thanks!

Okay, so I'm not the only one! Good. I have really upped my protein and have protein shakes. I couldn't figure out why my "small problem" that I have been known to have was coming back. Maybe that is it....... I eat at least 25 grams of fiber a day... at the very least. I got that smooth move tea too the other day.…

Me too. I'm going with this answer.............. meow! :blushing:

When people say they want to look like Kim Kardashian. Can't we just be hot the way we are with confidence and keep working at it? Make yourself hotter, don't try to become someone else.

I will definitely give these a try! I don't eat chips very often. My husband likes them, BUT I get organic ones and the kind you see in the health section. He says "These probably are about just the same ad the bad ones". I say, "probably so, but they are at least a little better." More than Doritos or Cheetos.…

My goal is to get from 133 to 130 in weight. HOWEVER, if I don't reach 130 and I look more lean, feel stronger and I'm rockin' my vacation bikini - I will take that! :blushing:
