If it helps, I'm 5'5" and 145lbs in my profile picture. While everyone is different, it's nice to get reference points...

I'm agreeing with this post. While being "Banned" may make it harder (I always want to do the opposite of what my fiance tells me! lol!), a "diet" isn't always a good thing, as it usually limits some nutrients to facilitate weight loss and can be hard to maintain for a length of time. This also is why so many people bounce…

hotmolly is correct as well, as it takes more energy for your body to supply nutrients to your muscle

This is sort of technical but do a little google search on some of this stuff and you can learn a lot, and realize there are factors but they are pretty minor. They mostly get blown out of proportion... There are a few things that can affect TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and this number includes that amount of…

I think of how good I FEEL after a workout.. It's hard to get past the superficial, "how you look" but the feeling when you eat right, get some exercise, and get enough sleep is AMAZING! You feel so good and energized! I get so much more done! :D

I'm not really working out for my wedding.. but I am getting married in the fall or spring 2014! So I definitely don't want to go in the wrong direction! :)

Once I discovered that "weight" wasn't really a way to determine how I should feel.. (but it's always hard, and I have to remind myself many times!!) I felt that "weight" lifted off my shoulders. Feeling comfortable in your own skin is always difficult. I think trying to be healthy and active should be a main goal, the…

I usually DB bench 60lbs (total of 120lbs) at about 6 reps for 4 sets... I haven't tested my max on traditional BB bench in awhile but I think the last time I did 135lb for 4 on 2 sets... I'm now curious to find out what my max actually is...

That's SWEET!! Congrats!!

I agree with what everyone is saying here. Myself and everyone I know, goes through those patterns of feeling amazing, versus feeling down about image. It is amazing how our feelings can overpower our brains ability to see the truth of things. We are smart enough to know better but continue to allow ourselves to be…

I eat 2500-3000 cals myself. I'm a 130lb female... You may not be eating enough. There are a lot of "techniques" out there, and in my personal experience, if something isn't working, you need to change! The forums are hard to give specific advise, but try looking up competitor diets to get an idea what you may or may not…

Electrolytes is not salt. Salt has sodium, sodium is an electrolytes. Potassium and calcium (among others) are also electrolytes. Your body needs electrolytes for muscle communication and you can have electrolyte imbalances from disease, sickness, poor diet, etc. http://www.medicinenet.com/electrolytes/article.htm (I'm a…
