I think it's more about fitness level. They will have some of the same health problems that overweight people do. It's also embarrasing for a friend of mine because she's "skinny fat"... she get tired walking too long, she can't keep up on her bike with us (me and a friend who's considered to be in the "overweight"…

I've had it happen twice: First time, I was in the Air Force, as a C-130 Crew Chief, so being one of the only females it was even more awkward.. One of my flight chiefs brought be into the office with the other flight chiefs and he sat me down, and looked at me and says "we don't want to make this awkward but we are very…

I spend $40/mo for gym membership $35/mo on protein $20/mo on supplements/vitamins So that's about $1140/yr... add in some workout clothes/shoes... prolly about $1300.. Now take away all the junk food I don't buy, the fast food I don't eat, the new clothes I don't buy because my other ones are too small.... PRICELESS!!! ;)

EAT!!! Duh! It's just filling it with stuff that will do you good, when I was at a bigger deficit, I would have a bowl ( about 2 cups ) of steamed mixed veggies seasoned or with some cheese... 100 cals and it's ALOT of food! Try and find lower cal stuff that you can have ready whenever these pains hit.. Like a giant salad…

Everyday in the morning.. but I really don't care what the number says.. I just like to see what affects me and how. =)

You can do it! It's really mind over matter and gaining control. Routine and habits need to change for you to win. Bump is just a tag so you can come read a post quickly from your recent forum posts.

WTG! Sometimes that is what people need! I technically one a real scale.. but I think I've stepped on it once in the last 6 months.. but I do step on my WII just so that it tracks something.. I'll have to post that sometime

Isn't funny how something so simple can affect how we feel about ourselves? Our society has put a number on how we are suppose to look with no regards to our level of health.. It's a huge obstacle to overcome. I haven't thrown out the scale as it can be useful in the long run (I track overall progress on my Wii). I would…

I cook 10lbs of chicken every Sunday... I use boneless skinless chicken and bake it at 350F until it hits 160F. I just change up what seasoning I use.. Last time I used lemon and red pepper flakes... It stays juicy and it's ready to be used for almost every dish!

I say relax a little.. I know its really difficult, but it seems good things come to you when you're not looking... Accept that people change and you may not have similar interests any more. It's kinda like dating guys... invite other girls to events or to just an evening out... Females tend to put their guard up right…

WTG!!! You Look GREAT!! Isn't it amazing how well we hide from camera's when we gain weight??? I tried looking for some way back when and it was sooo hard! Keep up the awesome work!!

How often does that happen? Why not have it ready to go the night before? I do cook my breakfast every morning... but my lunch is ready to go.. I make it a habit to wake up early enough to get it done... which is not easy for me as I can only get 5-5.5hrs of sleep a night with my two jobs... so my supplements/protein and…

Not an issue because I always bring my breakfast and lunch and a protein bar with me to work... and I bring dinner and a snack with me to work for my second job... By always having it with me, I don't get hungry to a point that I need to buy something (be it from a store or vending machine). Planning is a big part of…

Very Interesting!! It's nice to see people gaining humility... even I, who's dropped 50lbs, Find it hard that some people who are obese, let themselves be that way.. but I agree, it's more of an emotional, mental issue, because when you don't feel good about yourself, the motivation is more easily lost. Combine that with…

I used to find the weight dropping and grunting a bit over the top... til I found myself doing it... I don't grunt loudly mind you, but a little "ughhh" as I do squats just seem to come out... and then when I do dumbbell presses.. I have to drop them when I'm at heavy weight reps (60+lb bells) because I don't want to use…

all those as the original poster... and those that use bad form... not so much the "not sure what I'm doing" bad form... but the "I'm amazing look at me and I don't know what I'm doing bad form"... lol!!! If anyone wants to improve form.. use the videos on www.bodybuilding.com (they have every variation of every exercise…

the blog I have on MFP has some of my routine on there (be sure to look under archive on the right).. I got serious about lifting at the beginning of this year. I always like lifting (did it in HS and some college) and did really well when I was 17 (lifting 3 days a week and BMX racing).. but just kinda fell out of it.. or…
