  • With my weight being on a downward trajectory, I love hearing "you are looking well", I take it as polite speak for "you've lost weight" :-D
  • No one I'm close to has noticed I'm down a few kilos, acquaintances seem to see it though. Never mind your mum, congratulations on your loss thus far :-)

  • 10 days for each level, doesn't matter if you don't do them back to back (ie, interspersing with other exercise is fine, as is taking rest days). Maybe doesn't burn the most but will make you stronger and more confident :-)
  • No fasting, try harder with healthy eating the days after, do more exercise. You'll still lose in time as long as on average, you're in deficit.
  • Try some TurboFire. Even if you don't do it for 20 weeks, just doing it for a few will boost your levels of fitness and hopefully your enthusiasm too :-)
  • Haven't followed the eating plan and wouldn't touch the shakes with a 60 foot pole but the workouts are AMAZING :-D
  • Jack of all, master of none, currently playing guitar for Priority Orange, Adelaide's least popular grunge rock band. Go practice your instrument, it is the only way to improve at!
  • Although not in the same place as you, can say, I've been doing Turbofire which has a lot of high intensity interval training in it and the weight is coming off steadily.
  • That's all I needed to lose, set weight loss to half a pound a week, exercise lots, eat as you please as long as you don't go over your goal (gawk at diary for ideas - disclaimer, the last few weeks have a been a bit lax, but mostly before then, all good).
  • bumpity bump
  • Couldn't access Turbo today so I thought I'd have a crack at Jillian Michael's cardio kickbox.......easy peasy, barely even broke a sweat, c'mon Jillian, give me a challenge!
  • What is your current and goal BMI? From what I understand, building muscle is the best way to speed up the weight loss process because more muscle means more energy burnt whilst sedentary.

  • First of all, work out what your maintenance intake would be - eating anything less than this counts as deficit (ie, if maintenance is 2000, 1200 gives you a deficit of 800, that's a hell of a lot. I've been losing steadily on a deficit of 200). Second of all, make friends with exercise. If you do something like the 30 day…

  • Double post
  • I was completely over facebook and then hanging out on mfp kinda got me back into it, my optimism of a more rewarding experience was quickly dashed though. There are a few rat forums but the folks on the Aussie one are the most interesting by far (plus they are my locals so their experience relating to husbandry are most…
  • Use to be email, now australian rat forum mfp facebook......sort of, mfp is better :-D
  • Neat, bump.
  • Knocked up the daily burn to an average of 600 calories, that scored me an entire extra meal :-D\ That and changed the loss per week to half a pound, no rush here.
  • Keep up the exercise and consider dumpster diving for veg (and plant some spinach, that stuff grows like wild fire). You can do this :-)
  • 20 minutes of circuit training should do it. Eat within your macros, eat back your exercise cals, good luck, be strong.
  • Thought I'd be epic and do core 20, fire 45, stretch 10, got my nice little 570 calorie burn but then ate it all back up again :-( (Normally do eat back exercise calories but I went so consistently over during the weekend, I really need to get some deficits cranking again).
  • Paella is really tasty although it comes in at about 550 calories.

  • Politics of online friendships eh? How sad making :-(, oh well, their loss right?! In response to thread topic, for those that haven't realised the glory of eating a bit of whatever you want as long as it fits within your macros, let's ignore their snide remarks and take pleasure in our revelations :-D
  • What is your activity level set too? The activity you describe sounds like cardio to me, I would count it as walking 2.5mph for a duration of 90 minutes (erring on the side of caution). I would also review your progress after a few weeks, weight loss, all is well, weight stall, weight gain, guess again. Personally would…
  • I'm sure a small handful of humans have been horrible throughout history....and that the vast majority right now are still good and kind. Regardless, how unfair to have life cut so short, rest in peace.
  • Let's say trimspiration, I like it, or maybe even lean and healthyspiration. Good to have you on board :-D
  • This is what I do, only I like to underestimate a bit, if I worked your job, I'd put somewhere between 2 and 4 hours walking 2.5 mph depending on how hard I felt I worked. Try it for a little bit, if you maintain or gain, you'll know you need to drop it back a bit, if the weight falls off at an alarming rate you'll know…
  • Too lazy to suggest things but just been thinking, why do all workout videos feature bouncy/peppy work out instructors and techno/hip hop music, one day I'm going to make up an aerobics routine and sync it to some Industrial :-D no one will be smiling in my vid, but damn we'll work hard.
  • Make friends with exercise :-)
  • I want a bread box :-D (stashing in the drawer is a brilliant idea!)
