  • Thanks for all the replies and itr's a relief to know that most people haven't gained weight on flouxetine. So far I don't feel any improvement in mood from the flouxetine, but the Abilify is working. I've put on 4 pounds in the last couple of months I think. It's difficult to guess due to daily weight fluctuations.
  • I get the Shock Absorber and I'm a F cup. They have all the scaffolding I need. They come in defferent styles, but to be honest I'm grateful for anything that can strap the girls down and hold them in place. Shock Absorber bras are the best!
  • Thanks for the reply. I've been told that Aripiprazole is one of the better ones for weight gain and to be honest it's a lot better than Quetiapine, Olanzapine and Risperidone which I've tried in the past. I may ask to switch to Geodon if the weight gain continues.
  • Why not? I just have a black coffee and pint of water and do some cardio first thing. Breakfast afterwards feels like a reward!

  • I also like to train on an empty stomach and do fasted morning cardio, although it's debatable whether it works any better.

  • Another advocate here for kettlebells. They are a great combo of cardio and strength training.
  • Joining a group can be helpful. i joined a walking and cycling group and it motivates me to get out in a way that doing it alone doesn't.
  • Do you eat back any of your exercise calories?
  • Way to go studying engineering, wish I could do something sciency like that. I'm self employed and have to be very precise in my work and do long hours. I know how dieting can be preoccupying and give you brain fog. I go for low GI foods and protein. Go for low fat dairy as it has carbs, protein and gives you that slow GI…
  • Got the very same on a super low carb diet and then regular urges to binge on loads of carbs. I found that a moderate slow low GI carb diet of about 150 per day was better fo me when working out heavily. It stopped the brain drain and gave me more fuel to workout. After a hard workout, I would usually be back in ketosis.
  • Most of these meds have screwy side effects and I've heard people call Topamax "dopamax" too. I asked about it instead of another mood stabiliser that caused weight gain, but they said Topamax is known for turning people all dopey and causing kidney stones - nice. I stick to Lamotrigine now as it has basically no side…
  • I just think OP sounds upset and rightly so. She's been through a horrible time. As for comparing yourself to thin women, it's something a lot of us do. In fact, I used to struggle with comparing myself to other people all the time for all kinds of reasons . This was until someone said "Comparison is the thief of joy."…
  • The only thing that worked for me was loads of squat, lunge variations and plyo HIIT type stuff. Cycling is pretty good too. That was all bodyweight exercises and was pretty effective, but I'd like mine bigger still, so I'm joining a gym to do some serious weights for my bum. Genetics never blessed me with a waist, hips or…
  • Wouldn't it be weird if I was speaking about you! I tried yoga & walking with a good diet when I had a couple of stone to lose and it had no effect at all. My friend is pretty similar to you, she eats a really healthy diet most of the time anyway. but her yoga and cycling would allow her more treats than I would be able to…
  • Can I join? I've just started week one again, but am also adding in killer buns and 6w6p for extra burn.
  • In an interview, Jillian does say that you should take a rest for one or two days each week.
  • It must be an individual thing, because I've tried all three approaches and I can't out train a bad diet, but I can only get so far by diet alone and become all asggy and skinny fat. A combo of exercise and diet works for me. Then again, you get those annoying people who diet and never exercise, but they always look…
  • Thanks motivatedmart and glenmchale. Next time we'll have time to get a treat as we won't get lost!
  • I would have thought thighs on an 100lb person would still tiny, even if they had a bit of jiggle. I suppose it depends upon the height, but seriously, when I weighed 100lb my thighs didn't touch at all from the knees upwards and they were just skin and bones. I'm 5'3".
  • I have a friend who is 35 and I am so envious of her. You hear all the time about how you can't out train a bad diet, but she can eat what she wants as long as she does plenty of yoga and cycles... Yoga and cycling??? She must be one of those mystical mesomorphs we hear about, because I have to watch my calories like a…
  • I'm just shocked that a 100lbs woman could have thunder thighs! You must be so petite.
  • This is a bit of a coincidence, 'cause I posted a similar one about insomnia and weight loss recently. I think getting to sleep late makes it more tempting to snack, but getting up ultra early doesn’t seem to have the same effect. I have been very skinny before when suffering terrible insomnia, but the main impact it had…
  • I just wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions. The main reason for our visit was for my son to attend a very specialised clinic. It was our first visit and we had to travel a long way, got lost etc. We were lucky to grab a drink! We left at before 9am and got home about 10pm. Fortunately, next visit we'll know…
  • Thanks HipsterWhovia. Fab Ideas there. :)
  • I tried the sleep meds, they give them out very sparingly as they are so addictive, but you can build a tolerance to them even during a 4 wee course. Natural is better!
  • Thanks, great ideas. I already messed up and had an Indian takeaway tonight. :( Feeling really bad. Had better hit the salad cart and get walking tomorrow. :)
  • I'm just in the habit of drinking pints and pints of water a day now and feel thirsty and weird when I don't.
  • Thanks for answering a question which has puzzled me for a long time. As far as the ridiculous amounts of water I need to drink goes. I had shock wave treatment on a kidney stone. It causes tiny hairline fractures and then you have to drink FOUR litres of water a day to break up the stones and pass them over the course of…
  • Do any of you guys get the kind of insomnia where you wake up really early? I don't binge as much then as I do with the night time variety. I have definitely noticed major carb and sugar cravings when I can't sleep. I even got some night time sedation from my GP and it appears to have stopped working. I have tried…
  • Nope, I definitely saw Urologists for the kidney stones and kidney stone surgery. in fact, a urologist actually performed my nephrectomy. I'm not sure why they never got me to see a nephrologist, maybe they just deal mostly with CKD. Urologists must deal with the stones getting stuck in your tubes and other bits and bobs.…
