Same here. I do my grocery shopping at Trader Joe's too and pricing is very competitive.

I weigh myself most mornings but only chart the result when it holds consistently, about once a month.

When I'm home I have Quaker Old Fashioned oatmeal with raisins or blueberries for breakfast--fast and easy.

Just returned from a cruise and imbibed and savored with complete abandon. Gained 10 pounds but was expecting an increase because I was not going to count calories. Now it's back to moderation and I have no regrets. I will get rid of this extra weight just like you will. We did it once, which proves it can be done again.

Your concerns are valid but you cannot will, dictate or control the eating habits of anyone who wants what they want. Save yourself and your sanity.

This is how you come correct--best response in my humble opinion.

I weigh myself almost every morning and that keeps me on track. Not weighing for several years created a false sense that my burgeoning waistline was simply water weight, specifically around that time of the month. Next thing I knew I was 20 pounds overweight, then 30, 40, 50. I will always step on the scale daily. Don't…

Undergoalnessa: Goddess who receives tribute from those who consistently come in under; repeated calorie deficits are the ultimate forms of homage and respect.

I log it raw too. Accept the package descriptions as an accurate accounting. Go with, not against.

Bravo--you look marvelous!

I was a C-cup during most of my adult life until I started the middle age spread. The weight went to my breasts, increasing to a D-cup. My friends asked if I had gotten a boob job. I became a DD seemingly overnight, and I also gained an incredible backside--round and firm. After losing 50 pounds, my breasts and butt have…

I recommend Lucy's--very high quality brand. I've gotten them on sale on their website and found them on the racks at Marshall's and T. J. Maxx. https://lucy.com/

Some of my favorite teas are a blended green called Fiji from Serendipitea, Coconut Creme and the Formosa Oolong tea cake from Art of Tea, and a rooibos called African Solstice from Tea Forte. All are loose leaf teas. I use a French Press for multiple cups. I order online from the aforementioned tea purveyors.

Had the most delicious sun-dried tomato and spinach deep dish pizza yesterday from Masa Bakery & Cafe, Echo Park. Worth the drive if you're in the Los Angeles area. Moderation seems a better choice than elimination for the long term.

All that matters is portion size. Use a scale and measuring cups and you should be fine.

I applaud your effort; do what you have to do to get it in.

Shop, shop, and shop because being able to buy straight off the rack (not like Encore at Nordstrom or Salon Z at Saks) is a wonderful feeling.

Reminiscent of the pin up style, very flattering.

Good looking out--I'm sure it's the same doctor with such a unique name. Moreover, I'm equally sure that we can parse quotes for all eternity on this subject, but the fact remains that moderation is key when trying maintain a healthy lifestyle.

According to Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, dean of nutrition science at Tufts University, "A bagel is no different than a bag of Skittles to your body." Many doctors chimed in on a discussion of fats and daily food guidelines in our diet for a recent article in Time magazine dated June 23, 2014. Research always yields different…

I used to think I was simply big and beautiful, then reality eventually set in. First was a photograph my husband took of me and my granddaughter in a children's inflatable wading pool, looking like a beached whale--literally. Second was a comment from a little girl who told her mother I had a big butt--so embarrassing. I…

I used a cheap scale too before splurging on the Joseph Joseph shell digital. Here's a link that compares Joseph Joseph and others: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304299304577347690270146270?mg=reno64-wsj&url=http%3A%2F%2Fonline.wsj.com%2Farticle%2FSB10001424052702304299304577347690270146270.html

Never had a problem being overweight until I hit menopause, then the pounds mounted no matter how much effort I put in trying to contain it. I saw a photograph of myself and realized how out of control the situation had gotten--50 pounds overweight by then. This didn't happen overnight; it took 12-15 years to accumulate.…
