I have done this!! I have also found myself writing down EXACTLY what I am eating and how much so I don't forget. I was completely obsessed. I am doing my best now to get back on track with a new normal, but like I said, it has been hard. (and thank youfor your nice words)

I lost 46 kilos in 8 months. I think that what you are wanting is possible. I think it will take a lot of dedication and you will have to stick with it through good days and bad. Just remember that once you pass midnight it is a new day, no matter what happened the day before. You can do it.

It would always really bug me when people would tell me that it was ok that I gained weight because I was pregnant. I would usually just smile and internally cringe. And, no, I could not imagine my self at 149. (I am 145 now) When I was 250, 150 seemed like it would take forever. But, I was determined! You can do it too!

My original goal was to get to 150, but I didn't really have a reason. I just picked that number because it sounded good. Once I hit it, I decided to go lower as well. Now my goal is 135, but I have a lot less tunnel vision. I am still focused, but not as hard on myself anymore. Good luck to you!

Thank you for saying this. It really was a big deal for me to 1. wear a bathing suit in public with out shorts or a t-shirt over it and 2. ASK for my picture to be taken in it. :noway:

I am actually struggling to switch over to maintaining. I am still working out almost every day. It is just a habit now. I am eating a little bit more than I did, but not much. I am still losing a little, but it is a difficult transition for me.

Maybe it is because you are not a morning running person. I run much better after I have been up for a little bit. I get up at about 0400 and I don't run until about 0500. I need to wake up first or I just don't have the energy.

I put myself on FEP after I had my first son, but it didn't help me very much. I still ate horrible. I know what you mean about commands not pushing very hard. On my last boat, our division's PT was a joke, and that was when we even had PT.

Restaurant salads can be some of the worst things on the menu. Maybe ask for the nutritional guide when you go to out to eat and see. When I go to restaurants I always order what ever I want and ask for a to go box to be brought out with my food. Then, I put a proper portion on my plate and the rest in the to go box.

I would think it would depend. I burned 7573 calories in one day when I climbed Mt. Fuji. It was a 14 hr ordeal and it was rediculous. I eat 3 meals a day. I wouldn's classify them as "large", just 3 normal meals a day. I hardly ever snack. I am rarely hungry. I eat the majority of my calories, rarely go over. I have done this for about 10 months now and I have lost a lot of weight. This is what works for me.
