  • I found doing both home workouts plus daily walks outside excels one's self to push more. Case in point: My 1st walk outside was to the end of the block, huffing & puffing by the time I returned home, but since that time I speed walk 3 miles daily at a local Park w/walking trails! Talk about a change, huh?! I can't wait to…
  • You wanted 3 but I'd say the 4 things I need are Raw Apples, Raw Onions, Garlic Bulbs & Silk Lite Orig. Soymilk
  • My Motto "You have no one else to answer to but yourself" so with that in mind drink what you feel is right, jus sayin....
  • Add a tsp. of cider vinegar to a large glass of water. It's not only good for you but it makes for a great cleansing. A slice of lemon in a tall glass of water is tasty and very refreshing. Good Luck
  • Hi Allisont! I Ride a 2011 VT750C/A Honda Shadow Aero. Riding since June 2012. It's been a dream of mine to Ride my own Motorcycle but lacked the confidence. Suddenly I was 55 years old and decided to Go For It!! I absolutely Love Riding my Bike
  • I never cared for him but when he joined up with Weight Watchers that was the final straw! How can he join in with and promote Weight Watchers and still continue to promote all those other ways to lose weight fast?!! He's such a FAKE!!!
  • I bought a large spaghetti squash this past Fall and it's begging me to cook it up  Thanks for all the recipe ideas!
  • I use Mrs. Dash flavors and experiment with my spices to cut back on sodium. Salt is a thing of the past  for me.
  • They all sound yummy to me, I will give them a try. I'm so tired of making kale chips. Thanks for the ideas
  • I decided not a Tat but rather a piercing when I lose my weight
  • I make some air-popped popcorn when I'm watching a movie before bed and drink a large glass of water. Last night I found a few pieces of hard candy and that helped me too.
  • The best advice I can give you is to rinse thoroughly all canned veggies due to the salt content and then you can always add your own seasonings, etc. I tend to stay clear of salt. It's not good for me. I keep a shaker of salt for when my kids are home because according to them "Mom this needs salt and you didn't add any…
  • I'm lucky that my Bike is in a heated garage for the winter! Everyday I get to see it and when I'm really missing it, I get on and start it up and close my eyes thinkin of that open road.....oh that's pure heaven, my friend!!
  • A nice little dessert is 1 teaspoon of your favorite jelly/jam added to 1/2 cup cottage cheese, oh my gosh it's wonderful!! Another trick I found is if you drain and rinse off cottage cheese it's almost like cheese curds and can be used in veggie lasagna, jus sayin...
  • I can't wait to try them!! I'm so done with kale chips :explode: lol
  • I used to be with Weight Watchers (I got fed up and tired with it all) and dropped out in Oct. and finally this December I cancelled my membership....YEA! A friend told me about MFP and I joined up real quick. I can tell ya this "Wow! What an eye opening experiencing this has been for me!!" No wonder I wasn't losing weight…
  • Ok people settle down. The person posted these lists because they help her and she thought she'd be nice and share this with others. Suddenly this one post has turned people into idiots/monsters of sorts. So what if you don't care for the list! So what if you're not interested in using the list when you grocery shop! So…
  • Give yourself some time and I'm guessing here but possibly next week you'll have a better if not more an accurate weigh-in. I over ate prior to / and the day of Christmas Day, I expected a gain of 5lbs or more. My weigh-in day was the day after Christmas (Wed.) thankfully it was only a 2lb. gain?! I drink a lot of water so…
  • They are great! I use them when I make homemade soups, etc. One thing I did learn cut the longer noodles in half prior to cooking them.....to prevent choking = it happened to me. Maybe it's just a "me thing" but wanted to share this info with you. Otherwise, yes they are low in calories and not bad tasting (the smell of…
  • Buy a regular scale and weigh yourself once a week in the AM before you eat, Don't get in the habit of weighing yourself everyday, that leads to highs and lows. Stick with weighing yourself once a week
  • This works for me: drink the 2 beers limit & then switch to diet soda, do lots of dancing & talking w/your friends. Before you know it the Band is done playing & the Bar is closing! Works everytime
  • I've heard all good things about PB2. I gotta order both the plain & chocolate one, should be great in smoothies!
  • My motto is "Today is a new beginning". What happened yesterday is yesterday. We all mess up but don't beat yourself up about it. Just start over and eat your normal way today. If you restrict yourself today as a means of punishment, that will backfire and you'll be pigging out making yourself feel more guilty then ever!…
  • I try to catch it on TV....maybe now we'll find out if Michael sold it or not. I know Angie wasn't happy about him selling, should be interesting to see what's what! I've watched SOA from the start, was blown away this past season w/all the changes!
  • Food co-ops are good but be careful some hit you up for a membership. I shop at Aldi's for all my fresh vegetables and fruits (they are less costing then other grocery stores & some Farmers Market's). I make huge pots of homemage veggie soup and pans of veggie lasagna then freeze extra servings. My veggie soup makes 28 (1…
  • I agree with other posts, follow your Doc's advice. MFP is to be used as a guide...I think MFP states they aren't Doctor's here they just give you ideas on weight loss, exercise, eating right, etc. Good Luck warrior on the site, I love it it's really helping me :)
  • I have a great  all veggie recipe for lasagna, when do u need the recipe? I broke my arm typing 1 hand is tough
  • I know about the spaghetti squash it sure is good, I also use whole wheat and tri-color (vegetable) pasta, sometimes I use brown rice. All these are good but keep in mind, when you substitute something you still crave it and nothing is going to take its place. And when you do have your regular pasta watch out cause you're…
  • I'd say to those people "look on the flipside it's better to eat bananas then to give into something else like junk food, sweets, etc." Fruit is good for you. Like anything else, eat in moderation. If you're within your daily calories it shouldn't be a big deal. Bananas are great in smoothies. I just found a recipe using…
  • Thanks for the info on Zumba, I want to try that next!
