My mom always nags me when I eat chicken wings sloppily or eat ribs or eat steak with butter. "It's not ladylike!" she says. I respond, "well if that's not ladylike, then I don't wanna be a lady!"

Most of these are nonsense if you count calories. Some of these are nonsense even if you don't count calories! I feel like most of these rules are just ways to reduce your caloric intake targeted toward people who are not counting their calories.

Not everyone is a super obese food addict. Some people are able to eat fast food without going on an all-out binge. Some people (like those without blood pressure and/or cholesterol problems) don't need to worry that much about cholesterol or sodium intake. *Edit: added in response to SOFA's BP and cholesterol post*

A low carb Thanksgiving may present a fun challenge for a ketoer like myself, but stuffing is one of my favorite foods in the world so I plan on eating it! Also you forgot green bean casserole. That is a delicious low-carb addition to your menu. (Just take out the fried onions or add them sparingly)

Like everyone has said, yolks aren't bad. Also "nature" did not intend to make eggs for human consumption, they are intended to form a living organism when fertilized. That said, they are nutritious and delicious!

I agree that you should focus on managing your depression with your meds and therapy. I gained 15 pounds while on prozac then zoloft.
