Everyone is beautiful in their own special way. Except that chick obsessing about her seven year 'making weight' and characterizing his grandparents as abusive for giving him a treat. She was just mental.

Have you checked down the back of the couch?

I was in the entire thread. It got disgusting around the time it stopped being a debate around safe training methods, and turned into accusations of OP lying about his daughter's times and outright demands of proof.

Sounds like - 1. You have your deficit set too high. 1,000 calories, yes? Try 500. More sustainable. 2. You have your base Calorie burn too high. If it dropped you 205 calories to 995, and assuming a 1,000 deficit, you have your 'sedentary' TDEE set to 2200. Which is higher than mine, and I'm nearly six feet tall and male.…

To be fair, if I'd been on the receiving end of this thread, I'd probably never come back either.

For ON a serving is 30g +/- depending on the flavor. It'll be listed on the nutrition panel. I always use the scoop as a rough judge of a serving, then refine with the scale. Pro(tein) tip: once you have found the scoop (it'll be in there), don't throw it out at the end of the tub. Keep it so you don't have to launch a…

Update, 1 year on. I'm now running 5k in under 23 minutes. So yeah, definitely a C25k success story.

I'd say it's possible. It's really, really, really hard, and perhaps inadvisable, but it is possible. You're going to have to dedicate a of a lot of time to it to be ready in your given time frame. And also accept that as you progress with your training, you are going to be tired. It won't just be time spent running that…

Does it have to be one or the other?

People think about you much less than you think they do. The judgement people think they experience at the gym is mostly their own dissatisfaction with self, projected on others around them.

My father used to say: "The first time someone calls you a horse you punch him on the nose, the second time someone calls you a horse you call him a jerk but the third time someone calls you a horse, well then perhaps it's time to go shopping for a saddle." -The Rabbi, Lucky Number Slevin

Nope. But I understand how business works, and I like to think I'm for the most part a decent human being. I don't like to see people availing themselves of services they have no intent of paying for. It's a lousy thing to do. I'm anti-copyright theft as well, if you couldn't have guessed.

Unfortunately in the case of this thread it seems the customers that don't pay are suggesting that more people come in and avail themselves of the service without paying. If someones wants to claim that their 'word of mouth' is somehow funding the service they received, they could at least send in paying customers. I guess…

I think perhaps I just understand business a little better, and empathize with the store owner. Yes, the service is advertised as free. No, you aren't legally obligated to buy. But let's be honest here. They advertise that service to sell shoes, not out of the pure kindness of their hearts. That shoe fitter is not…

What's so funny?
-
To continue the theme of polite disagreement - you, as a salesperson, are getting paid whether the customer pays or not. The business owner, however, has to staff and fund the shop for everyone that comes in requesting service. Now it's a fact of life that you will not be able to find a perfect shoe for every customer, so…
-
Why shouldn't they make you feel weird? You are taking advantage of them. The prices are higher because their costs are higher. And if you take advantage of a fitting and then leave and buy the same shoe online you should feel positively ashamed of yourself. It's a crummy move, and cap previously said. If you take…

Wait, so you are saying that if I ate home cooked, high quality, nutritious foods, but always ate too much of them, I would never have gotten fat? Damn, I guess someone needs to tell reality that it got it wrong.

Bones was awesome for the first couple of seasons. I think it nose dived when they got rid of Zach, actually. Now they have occasional flashes of brilliance, generally with Pallant episodes, but otherwise it's unbearable.

Seems to be a very polarizing show. I don't think I've ever met anyone who thought it was just ok. I marathon watched the first season over a couple of night during a bad spell of insomnia. I was completely hooked, and enjoyed it thoroughly to the end. But heck, the world would be pretty dull if we all liked exactly the…

Agreed. Marginally less corny than HIMYM, but only marginally. I could bear it, if I didn't have anything better to do. Like de-fluff my naval.

^This. Breaking Bad is about the transformation of Mr. Rogers to Scarface.

....unless it's How I Met Your Mother.
-
How I Met Your Mother - total crap, puerile jokes barely of the standard of a high school play. Arrested Development - ok, but definitely overrated Arrow - just, no. Agents of SHIELD - so much potential, so little made of it. Mad Men - misogynistic rubbish (yes, I know they were going for the misogyny, doesn't make it…

That's what I use. Good price, mixes well, and a generally well respected brand you can trust.
