I only ate the caramel-filled chocolates. OMG, I love the caramel-filled chocolates!

Hi! I'm Lesley, a 53-year-old hiker, teacher, animal lover, and motorcyclist. I enjoy doing these challenges because it keeps me motivated to exercise and eat healthily. Being a high school teacher, one of my goals is to be a positive role model for my students by staying at a healthy weight (Tennessee has a high rate of…

I will have to say that the "look" for the challenge makes me want to eat chocolate. I guess it's a throwback to getting the red satin heart boxes with the chocolates inside when I was young.

Thanks SilverStormi:)

My goals for the year are to burn 182,000 calories in exercise for the year and not to buy any clothes for at least 4 months.
-
If I could just not gain weight over the weekend, that would be really nice.
-
My goals are to get my house cleaned up, get my lesson plan ready for my evaluation, get in some exercise, and drink 8 cups of water. I feel so overwhelmed, all I want to do is sleep.

Wonderful narrative! I really enjoyed it, but more importantly, I enjoy seeing your success! You look amazing!

Today I'm going to log in everything I eat. And I'm saying no to the peanut M&Ms my mom bought for my husband's birthday.

I run, too, and love being outside. That said, I know that I need to work my muscles, especially my upper body. Does the Y have any group classes? I take a RIP class, which uses weights for all major body parts, and kickboxing, which is an amazing class for toning. There's also a warrior fit camp that I've started going to…

Good for you!!!!!

Today I rode my motorcycle on the race track in my new leathers. I got them on, got them zipped up, and was still able to move:smile: They are really tight, so I've got to thank you, SilverStormi for moderating this challenge. Losing this week really helped my fitting into them!

Today I'm going to run 4 miles of the Tweetsie Trail and walk the 4 miles back to the car to burn at least 600 calories. Also, I'm not going to eat those calories back!
-
My goals are to burn 600 exercise calories and not eat them back.
-
Focus on my mini challenge with my accountability partner! Do NOT eat back exercise calories!!!
-
Well, poop.
-
Hmmm, I can't figure out how to do this.
-
My accountability partner and I have challenged each other to be at certain weights by Monday, so today I'm going to get in 600 exercise calories and not eat all those calories back.
-
OMG, SilverStormi that is great!!!! Unfortunately, I'm up a bit, but sometimes that's just the way life goes. As long as I don't give up and just spiral out of control, it will all be okay. Thanks for the challenge.

Thanks, SilverStormi!

I did a few triathlon sprints to raise money for Girls on the Run. If you are a swimmer, this should be pretty easy for you. Just practice bricks several times and more frequently as you get closer to the date. Also, having all your "stuff" in a bucket in front of or beside your bike will be helpful when you get through…

I think a happy medium is best. Take up running or work out on the elliptical, but keep up the weight training and full body exercises. Additionally, your body will probably go "back" to its usual shape, meaning that although your weight is coming off on top first, eventually, your body will even itself out. At least,…

Me! Me! Me! Please, oh please, let me be in!

You don't just "ride horses" ; you barrel race!!!! That's way cool!

Hi crash_aly! I understand completely about rethinking goals when we get closer to them. I've rethought mine a couple of times and decided to lose a little more weight. I, too, am 5'6". Also, I did a couple of triathlon sprints to raise money for Girls on the Run. It's an awesome way to get in shape. Welcome!

You can add me, if you'd like! Welcome to the group!

I've been married to the light of my life, boy of my dreams for almost 22 years now. He knows I struggle with binge eating and the after effects. He also knows that I try my best to stay slim and healthy, partly for him, mostly for me. However, he really does love potato chips (thankfully, that's not a problem for me),…

@melissa3555 "Now I dread telling anyone that I track my calories even though I don't think it is something I should have to be ashamed of. Do you ever feel ashamed of using MFP?" Never hide your shine for somebody else. I don't talk about it unless someone tells me that she is trying to lose weight, but I'm not going to…

Oh yeah, and thanks. This thread made me go to the Ann Taylor site to check out pants. And yes, I did order a pair. So wasn't going to do that.
