No I haven't given it up and no I don't intend to, I keep my alcohol within my daily calorie allowance and I opt for low calorie drinks ie lambrini light as it is 40cals a glass, I am not gong to deprive myself completely as I know my diet will fail, I lost 14lbs prior to MFP and I have lost a further 5lbs since joining…

Your daily calorie allowance gives you your calorie deficit so you will loose weight if you exercise and burn for example a 100 calories you need to eat those as well as your daily MFP allowance otherwise your metabolism will slow down to much as your body will think you are starving it if you have to big a deficit each…

I have a polar ft4 which I am happy with, don't go for any model below a ft4 as they don't have a calorie monitor.

I've sent you a request, I'm 36 from England, Lincolnshire, I lost a stone before doing MFP and have lost 4.4lbs whilst I have been on here, I always log on daily. I still want to lose another 2 stone.

You need to add some more friends to your profile then everyday they log exercise it will come up on your news feed what they did how many calories they burnt, I find this motivates me to shift my *kitten* and do something, plus exercise when you log it gives you more calories to eat and still lose weight. My belief is that if you use meal replacements - yes they are lower in calories but when you eventually introduce meals again the weight you have lost you will just put back on, you should aim to get your protein from food sources and then use protein shakes and bars to help your muscle recovery.
