  • I don't think that is too bad. I am usually slightly over every day. Although tonight I had steak for dinner so I ended up doubling my protein for the day, but every now and then won't hurt. I think MFP puts a lot of people a little lower anyways so it's okay to be over.
  • What is your height? Are you already overweight (BMI) or are you at a healthy weight and just need to tone your abs/hips? I'm 24, 5'3" and weigh 181 so by BMR is a little over 2,000. In order for me to lose about a pound a week I need to eat around 1500 calories. But, my BMI is 31 so I am considered obese for my height. If…

  • I would definitely eat more. Anything under 1200 isn't good for anyone. And if you work out and burn calories, you are eating even less. Whatever you burn off you need to eat most of those calories back. I'm not too sure exactly how many calories you should be eating, but if you find your BMR (there are websites online…

  • Good luck! Just keep the mindset that you CAN and WILL do it. Every one slips up from time to time, the trick is to just keep going!
  • My meals are between 400 and 500 calories. For snacks, I try not to go over 300. I rarely have a morning snack though, so I basically have about 4-5 meals a day if I can.
  • I've seen them but I have never used one. They don't seem very safe and sounds like it is just water weight that is lost.
  • I am in the same boat. I have just recently gotten engaged and would LOVE to be my pre baby weight of 125, but I would settle for 130. It takes hard work to do it, but you CAN do it. This website is amazing and by cutting out soda and fast food, you'll be amazed at how great you feel. Since I have cut out fast food…
  • I have and they are amazing!! My faves are the Asiago Peppercorn steak and the new one with garlic shrimp on the steak.
  • I think even though you are under your calories, there are other ingredients in those junky foods such as sodium, sugar, carbs and all that and it will cause you to not lose weight. It's not only staying within your calories, but eating healthy food along with it. I would suggest maybe snacking on something healthier like…
  • A lot of prepackaged foods have high sodium levels. I never eat frozen meals anymore. I also found a lot of recipes online that are healthy, yet over pack the sodium. I would start checking the labels on everything before you buy it and perhaps use fresh or frozen instead of canned for some things.
  • I've never stepped foot into a gym and have lost about 13lbs since November. I finally got to the point of enough is enough and I need to do this for me. I stopped with the "too tired" , "not enough time", and all those other excuses and found out that when you REALLY want something, nothing is going to get in the way. I…
  • A mini skirt -which I haven't worn since I was 17 or 18. And shorts in the summer!!! No more capri's or rolled up jeans. My legs will be hanging out! lol And, of course, gorgeous wedding photos. I told my fiance we aren't getting married until I hit my goal weight :)
  • If you google it, you can find her story and pictures. I've seen them before because after I started working out, I heard she used to be fat. So curiosity got the better of me and I went looking. http://www.popeater.com/2010/06/17/jillian-michaels-redbook/
  • I agree with the first poster... Make sure you're watching your calories and stay within the amount for you. And water, water, water. I have a lot of belly fat from having twins and cardio has helped me lose 3 inches on my stomach since early December. But don't go too much into cardio because strength training will help…
  • I squeeze lemon or even lime into my water when I need a change from plain water. I also carry around a 20oz water bottle and just keep drinking it. It helps that I'm a constant snacker so I have gone from snacking all day to drinking all day.
  • I just started eating Kashi Go Lean Triple Berry Crunch. It has 29gs of sugar though per serving (3/4 cup).
  • Homemade chicken tenders and carrots - super fast, yummy and 212 calories per serving. http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/recipes/quick-recipes/lunch/lighten-up-healthy-chicken-fingers-recipe/
  • I have lost 13 lbs since November and have been drinking every weekend. I just make sure to keep my calories in check during the day and usually amp up my workouts once or twice a week. Everything in moderation :) Oh, and I only drink beer.
  • I weigh myself daily just to keep myself on track. Luckily, I don't get obsessive with it and it actually helps me. I use Friday's as my measure in day. I weigh myself and use a tape measure and record my numbers. Every other day is just to check but I only acknowledge Friday's weight and measurements/
  • Mac and cheese.... mmmmm
  • Definitely the Hula Hoop and Super Hula Hoop. Just 6 minutes and I am sweating and my muscles are burning! I also enjoy the free step and free run. I've gotten up to 2400 steps with free step and do the 30 minutes free run. It's great because the remote talks to you with the step and run so I can watch a TV show while…
  • I just suck it up and move. It sucks at first, but then I am so glad I got moving. Lessens the cramps and gives me more energy.
  • It was recommended by friends in a weight loss group on a mom's forum I am a member of (Cafemom). It has seriously helped me keep on track and I would definitely recommend it to others.
  • Upstate New York
  • I track my sodium. Too much and I'll be retaining water causing me to temporarily weigh more and possible feel bloated. I keep track of sugar myself by not eating anything with over 4-5g of it, unless it is fresh fruit.
  • I always go over on my fiber. No big deal. The best amount is between 25 and 30, although most days I get close to 40. I figure, I'd rather be over with fiber than not getting enough.

  • I usually have plain old fashioned oatmeal mixed with milled flaxseed or 2 eggs with whole wheat toast, or a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Triple Berry Crunch. I workout first thing in the morning so I need something with protein. I also have greek yogurt with all of these.
  • Congrats! I have lost 2 as well since starting!!! Keep up the good work!
  • Eww.. that is just gross! I read somewhere about the ingredients in those maraschino cherries and refuse to eat them anymore. I used to put like 3 spoon fulls on a bowl of ice cream, but not anymore. Of course it helps that I don't eat ice cream anymore lol, but it was still gross to read.
  • check out nasoya.com - when you sign up, they even give you coupons for their tofu. And they have amazing recipes.
