Pfft. You're much too mature for this site.

Snow, especially on Christmas day.

Meh. So you're a lunatic. We're all a little weird. Live and let live, I say.

There are a couple of waterproof Garmins with waterproof HRM straps but they are very pricey.

TL;DR the last 3 pages but I have heard a lot of comments on that commercial. I don't get why people are up in arms. Yes, Oprah has had a weight issue and it's played out on TV. Isn't she the same as a lot of us her on MFP who have struggled with similar issues? Doesn't that make her a relateable spokesperson? Is it really…

I knew you'd have the best response to this. The DB trainer sounds like he needs a hint applied with a sledgehammer. Shaming the lunkhead is likely your only solution.

I'm a fan of raw veggies. You can eat as much as you want. Try it with hummus for protein and a bit more substance. Apple slices with a dip made from a bit of PB mixed into vanilla yogurt. Yummy.

It takes a while to get into the swing of things and get comfortable with how this all works. Don't be too hard on yourself at first.

I vote psychos

I didn't know you could eat the shell. Do you mean the papery brown covering between the shell and nut, or the actual outer shell?

Yup. I believe the term these days is STI? Those of us who recognize the term VD are aging ourselves

It would annoy me too. That being said, yesterday I had to answer the phone while at the gym because my son had an ear infection and I expected a call from his school when it was time to give him his medicine. I felt eyes of judgement from the other gym-goers. I had become "that person".

+1,000 she can't see my snarky response because I'm on the "ignore" list

TL:DR the rest of the posts, but just beware when using the work "addiction" in here. People get their ginch in a knot when that work is used for things other than drugs or alcohol. You probably just need to plan better. Make your lunches, make healthier choices when you do eat out, etc. As with anything else, it's a new…

We don't really do V-day in our house either. I might go buy myself a new Pandora charm and tell him thanks ;)

I love to see the success stories because those people have such huge obstacles to overcome. Their weight is one, but the common theme is the horrible abuse or neglect they endured early in their lives, which is what led them to food. I find it so amazing that people who have had such rough starts are able to get the help…

I'm not actively losing weight, having reached my goal weight a little over a year ago, but I am working mom to a 5 year old boy who keeps me hopping. Feel free to add me.

Suddenly I'm having a case of Deja Vu.

I blacked out once. It was a terrifying experience that I vowed never to repeat. I have no idea why you'd want to do it three days a week.
-
Bahahahaha! I thought I was the only one who'd learned that lesson the hard way.

I can't do seated dips for this reason. Can you switch to a different exercise for your tris?

runners trots mastering the snot-rocket (yay me!) pre-race anxiety idiot drivers/ dog owners the pure exhilaration you feel when you have a good run hills are evil farleks (haha) the benefits of running for my mental health the wonders of wool running socks in cold weather how much I actually enjoy running in the rain

I love that you've come to this conclusion. It just solidifies the idea that habits instilled early in life are critical. Convenience = slow cooker or pressure cooker. There are websites out there (Six Sisters is a good one) that have recipes for frozen slow cooker meals. You spend a day making a whole bunch of difference…

We have a gym in our office building, so that's very helpful. Good meal planning, going for a walk at lunch, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. Also, go from work straight to the gym. Do not go home and sit on the couch, or you're done for the night.

As bad as this sounds, I usually base my runs on calories burned = glasses of wine I can drink during the weekend. Not even kidding.

At first I read the title of this thread as "I have never had wild animal sex" .....I think I need more coffee.....

I PVR the show. I'm not sure exactly why I watch it because I honestly feel a bit guilty when I do. The one thing that is prevalent is that these people have endured some type of abuse or neglect early in their life. Terrible, horrible abuse that is difficult to fathom. The weight gain is often an attempt to make…
