Someone mentioned it above, but Sweet Potatoes are your friend. A large is less than 200 calories and full of vitamins and nutrients. Not to mention they are super filling! *edit* I also have a cup that is 24 oz that I drink before I eat any meal. That way I am full and don't overeat.

If you think they are gross, you probably didn't prepare them correctly. You need to rinse them THOROUGHLY for 5+ minutes in as hot of water your sink can do. After they are rinsed and drained, cook them in a large dry saute pan for 5+ minutes until the outside of them are dry. If you actually do these 2 steps correctly,…

Easily my 2 favorite.... and

Do a double take because you look like my sister.

I'm assuming its due to type 2 diabetes. That is why my father was told to watch his daily carbs.

The problem with Phentermine (Adipex) is that the side effects can wreak havoc on a person. I know when I took it a few years ago, I barely ever slept, became more irritable, and it effected my relationship with my wife. Not to mention it is a steroid which has other effects on the body. Don't get me wrong, I'm not…

A giant green salad with little to no dressing (use the 1 calorie per spray vinaigrette) with fresh carrots. Amazingly if I get hungry, I take one of these and for only about 40 calories, i'm full until its meal time.

If you want a great way to get your potato chip fix, do Microwave chips! Use a mandolin, or if you have elite knife skills, super thin slice a russet potato, place in a single layer on parchment paper in the microwave. Season with any seasonings you would want on chips, and cook for 3-6 minutes until starting to brown.…

Literally Lol'd. I saw your post, and I just knew who the pic would be of, hah

You'll have to let me know what you think! Its the first recipe I have actually posted on here that was my own creation. I would like to hear some feedback, hah

Clothes for sure... I don't think my current ones will fit me after I lose 148 lbs!
-
Get yourself a Sole F80 treadmill and you can still afford to get some weights at home as well! I had the same decision to make a few weeks ago and I am extremely happy with my decision!
-
uh... bumping the crap out of this one.
-
sounds interesting
-
Good sense of humor and cute!
-
Amen to that! I haven't really done anything to reward myself yet, but every time I think its time, I decide, why ruin the streak and get on the treadmill instead, hah. Seeing how i'm fitting in clothes, and just feeling better has been reward enough for me.

Sounds great! Whats the approximate calories per serving on this recipe?

Use the cranberries and get a pomegranate and make an incredible grilled chicken and feta salad with a good aged balsamic vinaigrette dressing!
-
It was the same for me here in Montana. None of our major stores carried them, but we have a specialty/organic/health food store that had them. So much amazing stuff in there.
-
When your cooking them, make sure that you cook them to just done. They only way they will dry out on the stove is if you overcook them.

Its my second favorite thing i've made with the shiritaki noodles so far!
-
Whats the approximate calorie change for using the lower fat feta, etc?
-
Sounds good! I might put that on top of fettuccine style shiritaki noodles.
-
Check out my post on here *Vietnamese Seafood Pho* One of my favorite things i've made so far with the Shiritaki noodles. There is also a recipe floating around for Pad Thai using them that i've tried.

My recommendation... Cook the same meal for everyone. Portion control, only with your meal, have a big green salad. You can easily fill yourself up the rest of the way with hardly any calories. 3 cups of a good romain/spinach mix, fresh veggies, and salad spritzer dressing (1 cal per spray) and you can have a huge salad…
-
You must live in a bigger city than I can, hah. Our only Asian market has 14oz 0 cal bags for $3.98. Definitely more expensive than just ordering them offline.
-
Shiritaki noodles cooked with reduced sodium chicken broth!

Hahaha, thanks! I think she's pretty adorable!
