  • The only think I would recommend staying away from is some of the *Pre-blended* Seasoning jars/packets. They tend to have sugars/higher amounts of salts than if you were to just recreate the seasoning yourself. Cayenne, Cumin and Cinnamon have made quite a few appearances in random foods that I have made just to mix things…
  • Fudgecicles! 40 calories each and great chocolaty goodness!
  • Hey! The bowls I use are probably 2 - 2.5 cups worth. Using lean ground turkey instead of beef pork saves a ton of calories
  • Thanks everyone. My wife is an officer in the AF so it is actually a free service for active duty and family. I don't believe its crazy expensive though.

  • Any NON WALKING/RUNNING exercise, log onto the Fitbit website. It automatically adjusts your calories burned with the logged workout vs what you burned from walking to give a more accurate number. (as long as you record your times accurately) I personally log all activity on Fitbit's site, and all food on MFP. I manually…
  • If you enjoy using a Pedometer, you should look into getting a Fitbit. It tracks your steps, but also does calories, stairs, sleep. The reason I love using it, it converts your steps into calories burned, then syncs with MFP to give you a better idea of what your really got out of the workout. I have a Fitbit Ultra and…
  • Scrambled Bald Eagle Eggs.
  • Look at it a week at a time. You binged what, 1000 extra calories? Whatever. You have 7 days of a deficit of 250-500 calories. By having a good week you will more than make up for the extra calories that you ate today. Don't let it get you off track. We all have bad days, yet its the rest of the good days that keep us…
  • I've been listening to a lot of *workout* quality music lately. Pretty much any Disturbed album. A lot of Skrillex and Nero with some Deadmau5 mixed in In This Moment - The Promise and *kitten* Mumford and Sons - The Cave and Little Lion Man
  • Thanks for all the great information and products everyone. Definitely need to just start looking around at the local stores/GNC and see what there is available. I get more than the recommended amount of protein every day, but I know that since I have lost enough to get more active, that recommended number is way too low.…
  • I agree with you on the food entries on here. I have seen raw almonds that go from 5 each all the way to 15 each. I personally don't enter my exercise on here though. I use a Fitbit and enter my exercise on the Fitbit website and allow it to auto transfer over here. While it might not be as accurate as a HRM, I truly…
  • I have the Fitbit Ultra so I can't help you with syncing questions. I am, however, getting the Flex as soon as it is available. Don't get me wrong, I love my Ultra, but I truly can't wait for the Flex. I am a lot bigger fan of a wrist setup, and the fact that you get the accuracy and branding of Fitbit behind it, I can't…
  • You absolutely HAVE to get water in your system. I think all 3 days I looked at was 0 water? With you eating a lot of the Atkins pre-packaged foods, your sodium intake is probably pretty high above the daily goal. You need to drink a lot more water to flush that extra salt out of your system. I also agree with the above…
  • To the OP This has become one of my wife and I's favorite recipes. I have altered it slightly and use half a pound of crimini mushrooms rather than a full pound of regular. I think it gives it a little better flavor. Also, I found fat free feta in the commisary and that helps cut a lot of the calories out as well. Thanks…
  • While ROFL'ing you started to have a siezure.... ain't nobody got time for that. Gotta dump ya
  • You never complained about my sausage....
  • Technically I 3-timed on you since my wife is still in the picture... Yeah, i'm a manslut. However, once I saw it was a sausagefest with Mrder, it abruptly ended, hah
  • I hate for it to end this way Cocoa, but unfortunately my wife is getting closer and closer to finding out about us and I just have to call it quits from here. Maybe if you didn't sit outside my house and yell for me all the time...\ *edit* And Mrder, I have to break up with you. While you look great in drag, once I found…
  • I have my goal set to 240 right now. I did the Bodpod body fat % machine and it said my lean muscle mass was 201 lbs. So I would be right around 20% or so at 240 which is pretty excellent as far as I am concerned. I will re-evaluate from there, and work on converting some of the remaining mass to muscle to change that %,…
  • They make resistance pedals that you can put under a desk. Kind of a stationary bicycle with resistance thing. I think they are kind of pricey though?
  • I measured a week ago and have lost a total of 16.4 inches so far, almost half of those around my waist alone.
  • I feel as though people who start with as big of a goal as I did, or as heavy as I did don't think they can do it sometimes. I posted the pictures because I really think that my story can help motivate people with a lot to lose to really be able to focus on their health and realize that it can be done. I know that I have a…
  • I'm 6'1" but thanks to genetics, I don't carry it as bad as some at that weight.
  • 4 oz is technically a serving size, but the quantity I eat is usually based on the amount of calories I have left for the day. Also, 4 oz of fatty beef =/= 4 oz of seafood based on nutritional value imo.
  • Wow, I really can't believe all the kind words from everyone. Its so nice to have such a supportive community behind me. Thanks again everyone!
  • Thanks for the compliments and the concerns! I spent a good 2 weeks during the 70 days eating back my exercise calories and upping to my actual goals and within the 2 weeks, i stalled and only lost 1 lb. I talked to my nutritionalist and dietitian here on base and we are going with a plan similar to what i'm doing now. In…
  • Thanks for all the kind words so far everyone! I forgot to post something in my OP.... Once thing that I am MOST proud of so far is that in 70 days of honest logging, I haven't gone over my calorie goals once.... Pretty proud of that.
  • Don't enter it on both. I personally have found that entering my exercise on Fitbit's website has been the easiest when it comes to the information crossing over correctly. As the above post said, if you enter it on both sites, it will double log it.
