Lettuce and other vegetables can increase bloating and intestinal gas, so maybe try to limit the salads to a few times a week.... there are many other low cal options that are just as healthy. At one point in time, I ate salads just about every day for a week or two and it was almost counterproductive.

I agree with everyone on drinking lots of water. My game plan for the next few days (post holidays) is to drink a ton of water, and eat lots of veggies and very few carbs and sugars. That kick started my weight loss when I first started counting calories....I know it helps to get rid of that extra "bloat".
