Nutritionists keep telling me I need more carbs, but then my blood sugars go too high! I'm still learning what affects my blood sugar and what combos I need.
  • OK....gotta start making my meal plans. Great ideas! Peanut butter and carrots/celery/apples will be ready to go. I'll make some soups today and freeze what my freezer has room for. Gotta thaw the chicken breasts! And I can always send hubby to the grocery store to get fresh salad, etc. Rainy day so perfect for cooking!

  • Thank you! I will avoid the chinese food! And I'll check out that book, too. If I'm going to try to even these out and eventually lower my bg, then I need to know how certain food affect me....lesson learned today!
  • White rice. But had total of 1 1/2 cups....lots more cashew chicken than rice. 2 1/2 hours between readings. BTW....I'm not on any meds for diabetes. Trying to learn what to avoid.
  • PB is so good on apples, celery or carrots. I put 2 tablespoons in any tiny container I can just pick it up for a snack....I use Skippy Natural. Haven't tried any other like PB2 or making my own. And I always count the details.
