I rarely eat fruit as it's mostly out of season where I live.In the summer we pick wild blueberries and raspberries. If I eat fruit in the winter it's usually an apple with some nut butter.I eat green apples though as they are not as sweet

One thing to be careful of is carrageenan, this is found on most almond milks and is used as a substitute for gelatin. It's a pretty scary additive. Here is some more info about it here http://taliafuhrman.com/carrageenan-what-beware-of-this-ingredient/ This is only one of numerous articles out there talking about it's…

I hear you 100%.I have some pretty bad digestion issues.Back in November I saw a naturopath and was told if I didn't stop I was going to have very serious problems with my health. I went off everything and then slowly but surely managed to go back to some of the crappy food I had been eating.Fast forward to now and things…

1200 calories would be too little I think.A lot of people complain at this level of being tired and not well. To change your macros, click onto goals and you can your macros. There seems to be quite a movement of using tdee-20% try the scooby calculator:here it is http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ I would also…

all going well here.had a bit of a wobbly and didn't fall.feel so much better today and lacking in the cravings from yesterday. how's day 3 and how are you feeling thus far?

I am now at day 5 and have had little issues with digestion.I have stopped taking digestive enzymes, antacids and hoping I may be able to avoid the endoscopy I have scheduled for the end of next month. Eating fish has been fine for protein for me as I feel it's not making me feel as full as meat was. I will give it this…

great progress!congratulations on your successes thus far!

Finishing up Day 4 of my second whole 30(the first one lasted 42 days). It gets better and better as you move through it.The first week or 2 can be difficult if you are coming from a high carb/processed food background but it does get better and it's worth it in the end. The big thing to remember is it's not a diet. It's a…

Thanks for the info.I am not planning to eliminate meat forever(I was a veggie for 20 years, not going back there again),I am just giving myself a month and see how I feel. I will do some further research on Chris Kresser.I started to read some of his stuff yesterday.I have a problem with acid and sadly have been abusing…

I have looked into gaps.I believe I have leaky gut syndrome from anti inflammatories.I have to go for an endoscopy in April and feel the need to really rest my digestion. I have fermented vegetables for natural probiotics, eating lots of greenery as well as good fats and protein. My protein is about 30 grams under at the…

What are your goals? right now the main thing is to get my severe digestive issues under control If trying to lose weight and maintain muscle mass... no, not at all. Fat will not help you there. Shoot for about at least 1g protein per lb bodyweight (or lean body mass, should you know it) - protein is very, very important…

I have been primal for the 1.5 years with times off in-between. I am doing a whole 30 at the moment so no dairy. I am eating fish but not lots..eggs a bit as well but find them too hard on my digestion to have them all the time.I also don't have access to organic or even cage free eggs where I live unless I drive over 1.25…

I would look at tdee -20%.As you are doing a lot of working out it looks like you are not eating near enough calories. the scooby calculator seems to be very good http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ make sure to put in the correct level of activity and it will give you accurate calorie intake. good luck!
-
What is the level of your activity?I notice you mention strength training. If you are doing loads of training you may need to up your carbs to refuel your muscles. It's best to choose sweet potatoes and other dense carb options from veggies. Also, make sure you are getting enough protein. I don't think fat needs to be higher…

urban poser is another great one,she does lots of grain free, dairy free, etc

I was just looking at your diary again and was wondering what you have your macros set to? I notice that most days you are way under on your protein. I would also say to look at your calories and make sure you are getting enough food.Perhaps an increase in your veggies as well. Just an opinion.

I will join the calorie bandwagon, they look quite low. Stress(as you said),can have lots of negative effects on your health and it will make you super tired. Hope you find a solution soon. Good luck

the clothes makes the girl

it was free for me and I am not prime. The cookbook is VERY VERY basic, everything on there you probably already have a recipe for. Also, there are some recipes with coconut flour and the amounts are very off.(I'm a chef so know the amts are wrong).

thanks for this.if you are in the uk change .com to .uk in order to be able to download(at least for kindle

looks like your fat is low and your fruit is high, also be careful with too many nuts. berries are fine but melons and bananas could bring on sugar cravings and make you feel like you are craving carbs. for the first month it might be an idea to lay low on the fruit until you adjust to this way of eating..agave is not great…

Don't forget the blue cheese, goes so well with the choccie and rich red wines!
