I just made my own 3 days ago but looking at 28 days before I can see the end results. I did a recipe with cabbage, carrots, onions, dried oregano, chilli flakes, sea salt.I bashed with a wooden pounder(not sure the real name) and then placed them in sterilised bottles with a layer of olive oil at the top. I found a great site…

you can buy water grains to start kefir.there is a great website that sells them called upaya and they are in Toronto.Other places sell a powder for water grains, apparently not as effective. There is also a site that has people who will send you out starter grains for free or just for the cost of postage.…

All I did was whip my cream until it separated from the buttermilk.I used a hand blender. Once all the solids came away, the butter needs to be put in ice water(or very cold water)and u need to squeeze out any of the buttermilk with your hands(unpleasant as it's super cold). The water should be clear. If it's not and there is…

Can I ask how much u are wanting to lose? If you are heavy lifting it might be an idea to eat some more..have you looked at tdee-20%? Carbs don't have to be under 50,I think lots of people are doing 50-100 and losing. It might be an idea for you to have a look at a book called It Starts with food and then give a whole 30 a…

probiotics are totally fine as they help to balance your gut flora.I also take digestive enzymes as do a lot of people on primal/paleo. also, fermented foods like kimchi are great.here is a paleo recipe page for fermented foods http://paleodietlifestyle.com/fermented-food-recipes/

Almond milk, unless you make it yourself,is out as it has carageenan in it. coconut milk without added sugar is fine. for anyone interested the book it's called " it starts with food" and the website is http://whole9life.com

try this with avocado oil and olive oil..preferably not extra virgin as the taste can be quite strong and put some people off.make sure to season well with salt and pepper and also lemon juice is best for acid and a bit of water if you need to thin it down

this is a great website for parents. http://paleoparents.com I do a lot of primal with my child and he has been gluten free 95% of the time for the past 1.5 years(he's 6).when it comes to social events I let him eat what he wants as I don't want him to feel uncomfortable..he makes really good choices in these situations.…

this can be from fat burning or having the body in ketosis. There can often be a breath stench as well.

If you are eating grass fed meat there is no need to be discarding fat.If you are eating commercial animals then the skin/fat should be discarded as all the toxins will be here. Paleo tends to go with lean meats and primal does not

Protein will help to keep you fuller longer but better in the form of a steak rather than a shake..eat real food!

I make bone broth but always season well, thyme(fresh)bay leaves, good quality salt(it will need a lot),cracked pepper,onions,garlic,carrots..i cook on the stove top for 12 hours and then strain...it will be very gelatinous when it's cold and is very flavourful

congrats..you look great.Hoping to start something similar from next week.good luck in your journey

I found that in the first days of transitioning to primal/paleo that upping my protein helped as well as drinking lots of water, resting and upping fat intake. It will pass and if you don't have lots of weight to lose, you may do better at higher carbs(closer to 100 grams) See how it goes for the next week or so and then…
