  • and if I remember correctly,no tracking food or weighing yourself during this time.It is a time to get back in touch with your natural hunger. If you were eating a lot of processed food before you started your whole 30,it could take up to 2 weeks to get past the tired feeling. I did 45 days last summer and remember feeling…
  • I would think the shift in hunger is coming from the carbs..maybe they should be adjusted a bit lower. Also, look at the fat.The more fat you eat,the less hungry you will be. I understand the endurance athlete side of things but perhaps you need to play around with your macros. The only time I am starving is when I am eating…
  • debenham's does shock absorber and I think it's the best one by far.
  • I second the dinner for breakfast.Once you are able to not think of meals as certain times of the day,the world opens up. I rarely eat eggs for breakfast and often eat what is left from night before.I also will fast and not eat breakfast and just eat what I like whenever I feel hungry. I do love greek yogurt with almond…
  • apparently if you get unsulfured coconut and put it into a food processor, you can make your own quite easily http://nomnompaleo.com/post/9869555953/homemade-coconut-butter
  • Marks's Daily says that agave is not primal/paleo and honey is the better option but it needs to be raw honey or at the least local, local raw honey can be used to treat allergies.. Personally,I don't eat either because of sugar sensitivities. If I do baking for my child,I use honey.
  • I make savoury pancakes with them. Almond meal (1cup) Dry chillies 3 eggs shredded onion and garlic salt/pepper and if u eat cheese, grated cheese Pan fry in butter delish!
  • I did c25k 3 years ago and then did 10k of a marathon on a relay team. I started out at 260 lbs. sadly, life got in the way and I left it behind. I have been trying all this week to get out and give it another go and your post has now inspired me to go out and do it again. thanks for being an inspiration..I appreciate it SO…
  • I have done a whole 45 last August/September,when I fell off,I fell off hard. I think the best reason to do this is if you feel you may be intolerant to certain foods,it gives you a chance to figure out what they are. I didn't realise I had such an issue with certain types of dairy until I did a whole 30. If you feel like…
  • this seems to be a good list as it gives you the net carbs I eat mostly green everything http://elowcarbfoodlist.org/low-carb-vegetables-list/
  • eat more fat, this is the best thing to help deal with the cravings. I was a SEVERE sugar addict and until I upped my fat I would always go back to my old ways. fat satisfies and is the best thing you can do for yourself. this will pass
  • depending on how much carbs/processed food before you started paleo will affect how long you may suffer through the carb flu stage. it will come and you will feel SO much better, give it time and be patient.
  • it does disrupt your sleep and I think that's the reason why it's not the best idea.If you eat just before bed or within a couple of hours, the body spends it's time digesting food rather than repairing itself while you sleep.
  • I agree, too few calories...u might want to up your fat as well and lower your protein..60% fat is a good guide to go by
  • how come no yolks?this is the healthy part of the egg once you get over the grains and carbs u will notice your hunger is much more manageable. if you work out you're tdee -20% you can figure out your calories. there are lots of online calculators for that. once you have that number you can work out your macros..lots of…
  • personally I think wine gums..if u are needing a chocolate fix,go for 70% dark and above
  • Inspirational!Congratulation!
  • Im curious why your fat needs to be low? One aspect of primal/paleo is eating moderate fat and fat actually keeps you fuller longer. As for upping protein eggs, cheese, nuts may have some fat but it's healthy fat.
  • I did my first all day fast last weekend and I am into my second one now. I work night's once a week and the 24 hour fast seems to work well for me. I came across yet another article on fasting on Marks website. It has lots of good info and links to other articles he has written on the subject.…
  • there are many dr's who have written on the subject and there are LOTS of people have GREAT success with this. What's wrong with eating healthy and whole foods not laden with chemicals as well as food that destroys your body in the long run. It has cured my digestive issues, stopped my eczema, taken away insomnia, stopped ALL…
  • I make one with cream cheese, coconut oil,raw coconut butter, almond butter and a few drops of liquid stevia..they are literally the bomb! I also made one with green apples, cinnamon, coconut oil, coconut butter.Freaking fantastic!
  • ghee removes the milk fat and leaves the butter oil..not dairy but SUPER good
  • I make fat bombs and I also follow the keto side of primal/paleo. There are LOTS of recipes online for them and they take little prep time. If you are on pinterest there are some great recipes Here is a link http://pinterest.com/mustbemelly/fat-bombs/ and here are a few recipes…
  • First, you can turn your butter into ghee, this removes the bad stuff(milk solids) but still gives you fat and wonderful taste of butter. I notice you mentioned lots of bacon on another post..could be this as well..most bacon is full of sugar(part of the curing process as well as salt). Not to say it is but just a thought. My…
  • Antibiotics can cause all sorts of gastro issues including heartburn. Hope it goes away soon, indigestion sucks!
  • I have mine set with 65% fat,30 % protein and 5 % carbs..it works best for me to control sugar cravings by having my carbs super low and fat high..I have managed to stay sugar free now for over 3 months,a record for me
  • I rarely see the scale move and at my weight,I'm sometimes shocked and slightly disturbed..however,my measurements are changing monthly, this month I am down by over 10 inches..the scale will move eventually but as long as something is moving I am happy. The main thing for me is I am over my sugar obsession and seem to be…
