If you are doing this for Auto Immune reasons, there are more things to be eliminated. Eggs and nuts and also soy are part of that. It's amazing to me in the research I have been doing, how many vegetarians have ended up with an auto immune disease(myself included). I am currently doing the Auto Immune Protocol of the Whole…

Snacking is not really part of the plan with primal/paleo. I never do as I feel satisfied from my meals. Eat more fat with your meals and chances you will feel less hungry between meals

Fat bombs! There are loads of recipes out there. If you eat dairy I make ones that are cream cheese, nut butter(I use almond/cashew blend and I make my own),cinnamon, coconut butter and coconut oil. Having them in the fridge as a snack of fat is the best thing for me.If you are not eating dairy..drop the cream cheese.…

Fat,Fat and more FAT! If you are going crazy on the weekends,it's because you are having cravings and that usually comes from too high carbs(over 100,for me over 50)as well as eating too low fat and potentially, too low calories. Lots of people suggest eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are full. It takes a…

the problem is those stupid main boards...man,I can't stand going there because they PISS ME OFF SO MUCH!!!!! There is no reason to ever go there as nobody listens and everyone wants to argue or make fun of people and their lifestyle choices..grrrr...I read the first page and stopped,no sense in allowing idiots to ruin the…

I have been off and on with ketogenic paleo and feel the best when I eat like this. I am currently doing the whole 30 on Auto Immune Protocol. I eat as many veg as I want(no tracking)and also eat sweet potatoes and butternut squash and I am still in ketosis. I plan to eat this way for a long time.I know when I increased my…

Hi, I am in NL and find it SUPER difficult to get things in the province and I often order things online. I use a really good website for nuts, olives, coconut products and other stuff like that upayanaturals.com If you buy $100 plus it's free shipping. They have really great raw nuts and their coconut products are the best I…

Soreness is completely normal after lifting. I started lifting about 3 months ago and for the first 2 months I was sore ALL the time after each workout and sometimes this would last for up to 5 days at a time. I would still lift twice a week but my trainer would have me do other muscle groups each time. As long as it's…

A lot of people figure out their tdee and take 20% off of that number. It's possible to customise your MFP once you get that number. Another thing to think about if you are planning to jump in to this lifestyle, look into doing a whole 30. It's the best way to start and I'm sure lots of people would agree. Check out there…

I am at the end of week 5 and unless there is an injury, don't bother repeating. It's supposed to be a challenge. As you challenge your body, you will be able to take it farther each week. I have done the program before. The best advice is good foot wear and run slow..as slow as you can and you will get through it.It's not a…

I very rarely snack and try to eat enough during my meals that I don't feel I need to snack. I eat a high fat,low carb diet as well and usually run fasted and if doing weight training at home,I am usually fasted for this as well. I think your digestion does need a break, fasting works for me but not for everyone

I love the challenge of running and the sense of accomplishment. I did a leg of the Belfast marathon 3 years ago and it was such a wonderful experience. I feel I do better at shorter distances and this time around I will be focusing just on that. I am on week 5 of c25k and the other morning I was out at 515am,it was cold…

just a note on almond meal/almond flour here is one quote and there are others floating around on Mark Sisson's site as well as Chris Kresser To some this won’t be new. There’s been a growing understanding recently that abusing nuts probably isn’t wise. Now, they do come with great micro-nutrition and are likely beneficial…
