By differently you mean wrong, right? Thinking that oil is calorie free is different from knowing that it does have calories but that different thinking is incorrect. This isn't some puzzle that can be correctly solved many different ways.

Correlation, not causation. It's wealth and availability that account for the obesity rates we see today. The people of history that were fat were the people who could afford it. North America, Europe and other wealthy areas of the world today can afford their fat. The US was just the first to reach that level of wealth…

That would make me barf. Are you Canadian? Good luck on your journey.

This poll would be hilarious. The deciding line would be between incompetence and competence. The people that think the oil is calorie free will be the same ones that think Dr. Oz is a good dude.

Carbs are not unhealthy. They are one of the macronutrients our body uses to fuel our all of out metabolic processes; protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Now, if your clothes fit better but at the same weight it's either body recomp or water weight loss.

It didn't hinder me at all. Let's not place blame for something as complex as obesity on your opinion. Oh, I ate food too. But maybe it's something different when spelled in all caps.

I take regular breaks of a month or two after consistent loss efforts that last 1-2 months. I get burned out eating at deficits and need the breaks. It's worked well for me. I'm down over 50 lbs since starting 4 years ago.

They are probably afraid to if they've ever been on these boards where some people see it as a personal insult for anyone to say a single thing about another's appearance. "Have you lost weight?" is worthy of physical violence according to some people.

I eat the minestrone, salad (no dressing) and a couple breadsticks with some tea whenever I go there. I'm going there for lunch today and will do the unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks again. I have no problems sticking to my goals that way. It helps that the minestrone is also my favorite item on their menu.

No way. I'm nearly four years into maintaining a 40 lb loss and did it eating food I like. All of the food j eat is real food. I mean, I've pretended to eat some fake food with my son during play time but that's as close as I've gotten to that. But since we're telling people to stop things, here's mine: Stop doling out…

Do not think about food like this. Log it if it goes in one hole. Do not let the form of what comes out the other hole affect your logging.

You completely changed your diet. That's why you started losing weight. It was not due to the gall bladder. Congrats on getting your diet to work for you.
-
No. Running did not ruin your metabolism. You ate more and moved less ( or some combination of the two) to gain weight. Your metabolism likely didn't change much at all.
-
You're burning up your good health with those two ingredients.

A Lindt carmel brownie bite. I got a bag of them for 50 cents. I was proud of that savy shopping deal and ate that delicious treat pride. But the strawberry cheesecake ones are better. I ate all those with pride first.

Fat, carbs or protein are not the culprits of fat gain. Over intake of energy is. OP, reducing carbs is not going to spot reduce anything.

If you're losing weight and don't want to, you have to eat more. Your arbitrary number is arbitrary. Your body is telling you that the number is too low for maintenance. (That's the first time I've typed that sentence on MFP.)

The most effective method to weight loss is to keep it simple. Find the meal timing that keeps you most satiated and go with that. Over complicating a procedurally simple thing will likely decrease your chances for success.

Their bodies will look nasty? I don't advocate VLCD but that seems like the wrong way to go about convincing someone otherwise. Talk about the negative health consequences sure but saying a person's body will look nasty... There are people who lose weight due to illness and lose a significant amount of muscle mass as a…

I actually get more accurate data for the trend when I weigh everyday since doing it just once a week would leave the numbers vulnerable to a possible high day. That said, I don't obsess over fluctuation day to day. It's just data to me. For people that are emotionally invested in the numbers, weighing fewer times might be…

Is it a biological fact? Or is it your belief that you hold so strongly that you've confused it with fact. It's a hypothesis at best.

I do it all the time when cutting calories or even when maintaining except I do the work first, keeps me more motivated to be more accountable to myself. And I've maintained a significant loss for a little over 3 years now. The only time the weight tries to creep back on is when I don't track and don't know how much extra…

I missed this reply. Are wet nurses still a common thing? I was under the impression that they are not. As such, I was joking. Ah, typed humor and its lack of subtle clues.

So I was just reading and came across this. tis makes me sad and concerned for you. concerned about the people you have closest to you. How they are effecting your overall well being. Breastfeeding is the best thing you can do for your baby and yourself. I'm not sure how it will take up too much of your time. You don't…

Maybe she was going to get a wet nurse. So much time to be saved.
