I toss the florets with minced garlic and olive oil then bake until golden brown. It's the only way I like cauliflower and it's delicious. I've tried some of the mock other foods made with cauliflower. :sick:

I just say, "No, thank you," if I don't want it. I say, "Yes, please," if I do want it. That is the end. I'm not sure how guilt factors into it at all.

It's new. Once you've been at your new weight for a while, it won't be new to the people who knew you before. Attention from strangers bothering you, practice your RBF. It works very well at keeping attention away.

Personal experience. If I gave myself the numbers from activity trackers, my weight loss would stall. My food intake remained the same so I knew I was overestimating my walking calories. That's one way to find out what the calories burns are for individuals since the others are just estimates for the general population.

I agree with the above. Walking is one of our most efficient movements. I give myself 50 calories per mile at a brisk walk. You're heavier than I am but I wouldn't go above 80 calories per mile for you.

It could be one of the side effects of the kinder/gentler atmosphere of these boards. Bad advice does not get the same treatment it used to.

I use either Sweet and Low or Splenda to lightly sweeten my tea. Sometimes I add a little honey if I'm going for that flavor. The best way to find out what is best for you would be to try them and find out. What I like is not going to be what the next person likes.

I started very near your weight, a little higher, and I probably ate 4-5 salads over the course of three years. The deficit is what you need to focus on, not traditional "diet" food.

Yes, it is possible to gain 4 lbs in two days. But it's not fat gain. I'm five lbs heavier after two days of heavy labor in the heat, two meals out and me being at the top of my cycle.

I like it in the morning too. Sausage at night is also pretty good. And now that I'm thinking of it, it's pretty delightful in the afternoon as well.

My first suggestion would be to not try to improve your self image by tearing down the self image of others. Women who want or have more muscle are not less feminine. My second would be to talk to someone who has experience with body image issues to help you with your issues.
