  • Nope - and no temper tantrum - tongue firmly in cheek. That is the problem with the typing and the posting...no facial expressions to give you a clue as to what is really intended by a comment. Just amazed this thread has gone on for so long...
  • Made up drama
  • I know...got a note on that escapade.
  • I know, I know...but they shut down threads with far less objectionable stuff on them than this..someone said boobs in here! I mean really! The shame! <any second now expecting to get my second warning, because commenting on HOW a page is moderated is actually the same as criticizing it or saying it is wrong.
  • Nice thread idea! I went to the gym even though I didn't get more than 4 hours of sleep (kids, barfing cat, twitching husband...) Realized that one day of not-so-great eating will not ruin everything and kept perspective on my goals.
  • But seriously...moderator? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? However, you are either creating a MUD for this effect or need to watch some threads before throwing fresh meat into the troll tank.
  • Have you spoken to your school financial aid/guidance team? I am not religious but if you are: have you spoken to a local church about your situation. I know from previous posts that you have great grades - so maybe there might be some people in the parish willing to assist you or to do a trade - you make meals, run…
  • Lazy person who drinks cola, tea or coffee and doesn't rinse their brush when they occasionally use it...if he doesn't even wash himself do you reckon he would take the time to sort out his toothbrush?! Ick!
  • Beyond it being disrespectful it is just plain gross. I am sorry but no amount of whatever he is paying whilst you are in school is worth that. He needs an intervention - because surely others are noticing his hygiene issues and it could affect his staying in employment. I am sure you are correct in that he does sound as…
  • I agree - I cover up mostly on the way to the shower but for f-s sake I am not going to wear a bathing suit to get clean. When you are older you just don't really care anymore about it - it is nonsense to worry about it so much. If you have someone bending their butt into your head as you are lacing up your shoes on the…
  • I am home all week long - work from home - so these are tips I use every day to avoid grazing in the fridgy pasture...moo! ;)
  • First - there is no fail. There is just eating. Sometimes that means going over but sometimes that means remembering that there is not just one day in weight gain so there isn't just one for weight loss. Tips: 1) Plan, plan, plan. You want to eat something you consider a treat - then earn it. Do more gym on the weekend on…
  • My thing is the smug ones: "You are going to hate me - I lost 7 lbs eating just Miso soup all week - that's like half of what you lost doing all that work isn't it?!" < No I don't hate you - I think you are somewhat $tupid and a bit of an *kitten* for taunting me - but when you balloon back up and then some I will still be…
  • One excuse that you will hear a lot when you are getting flamed - although those clever trolls never seem to be the ones who locked out - is that the question is one they have heard before. Well here is the thing, you have not read every post ever and are not likely to scroll back through the history of all posts ever...so…
  • I am the annoying person slayer at my gym. I will not have that atmosphere around my work out. I relentlessly recruit them into being nice by smiling at them and including them. Usually they are so baffled that their grumpzilla tactic hasn't worked, or in actual fact are just nice people who no one has chatted to before.…
  • This. And Mrs Dash is no Garam Masala...I guess it's reputation is bad because it is the kind of thing my widowed father likes to put on chicken breasts he cooks or because of the marketing which proposed it as a salt substitute.
  • It is disgusting - and if you get a few good recipe books you will never use it...but it sounds like the beginning stages of changing your diet. It all goes a bit Robocop food pellet for a bit until you figure out that 'change' and eating food pellets are not interchangeable and that you should explore cooking well but…
  • Stopping at McD's or Taco Bell is not shopping but I'll slide on that as your reading comprehension seems to be bad. You will learn eventually (hopefully). ;P I get the fad diet thing - there is some craziness on here about what people are trying (green coffee extract, eating between certain hours, etc...) and how fast…
  • Why are you on MFP if you think being here is a 'fad' diet? Scratching my head - and maybe feeding the trolls on this one. It works both ways - neither of them should be imposing on each other what they don't like. But seriously, in 2013 he can't do a bit of shopping for himself? He is not equipped to manage the tills at a…
  • Sensible. My husband is pretty happy to see how much success I am having so he is very keen on not throwing his rattle out of the pram and spoiling it. We have stuff in the house often that I can't eat the way I used to, but I am at a point in my progress where I am able to control the worst of my temptations. I have only…
  • I am going to call bullsh*t on this one...who grafted a skillet to her hand anyway. He wants to eat some types of food that are not on her diet (the person doing the cooking) he should do what he did - get himself his stuff and eat it BUT WITHOUT PUSHING IT ON HER. He can make a list of what he misses and have a part of…
  • Awesome! I love goal successes!
  • This too - I am Mrs of an Englishman - now the tea addiction is x10 plus builders strength!
  • Well for me the addiction/love affaire started at church - we had a social time after the service and I loved a hugely sugar filled tea...in crisis, in celebration, after working in the yard...there's a tea for that! Good for you re tea - full of yummy things especially all the different varieties. I really love Chai Spice…
  • But what colour/pattern are they...just had an image of me trotting into the gym in some of the more 'special' patterns of jammies I own and had to laugh! ;) I have a 3/4 length pair of stretchy lycra pants that are loose at the bottom (a little more forgiving than shorts but not as warm as full pants length ones), a…
  • This is pretty intense mileage though - so you are not talking about a ten minute walk to the local dog park and then sit on a bench and then back around the block kind of deal.
  • I agree that taking your dog for a HIKE is exercise and getting out more often then your regular routine counts - but is anyone else a bit skeptical of logging things like housework or even activities that you have always done anyway? I guess for me if it isn't something you don't ordinarily do (like say you now take the…
  • I think when you are on that end of the calorie scale you are getting into a danger zone if you DON'T eat the calories back. You are likely to go into starvation mode and then your weight loss will not happen. Be careful of trying to find short cuts.
