Everybody has the right to like what they like. Being an larger woman might just be the "price of admission" you pay to be with your husband. If that price is too high for you...and it sounds like it is...let him know that you're unwilling to be bigger (and ultimately less confident) to stay with him. After that, the…

I'm now following everyone who left a name on here. Mizzie1980 is fast. Like really fast!

Wow! I've been using this app since last year. I wore out all of Season 1 and I jumped back in on day one when they added Season 2. I've never looked at my stats and stuff online and I didn't even realize they added achievements or a social aspect to it all. I'm excited all over again. Feel free to add me: KAPatts

The secret no ever tells you is that almost everybody is out there alone just trying to finish. It won't be a thousand Kenyans and then you bringing up the rear. My wife used to have a "strategy" of making a new friend at the back of the pack and spending her races talking, walking and occasionally running. Find a great…

Not exactly. I never became a jerk, I just stopped being a doormat. I put the emphasis on bettering myself and managing my own needs...instead of trying to put her wants in front of my own. The way my relationships work now, everyone manages their own needs and if it doesn't hurt me to do so, I'll help out when I can. Less…

This exactly! As a "recovering nice guy", I was exactly this type of manipulative, self-serving loser...all while saying things like "nice guys finish last" and using terms like "friendzone". Once I shed my expectations on what I felt I was entitled to in my interactions with women, I got way more confident and way more…

I didn't really have a gameplan going into it. I just got up in the morning and ran. I didn't vary the mileage or the pace that much and I didn't have my nutrition planned out. I suffered from some severe cramps at about the 18th mile and spent the last 8 miles run/walking. I was hoping for sub-4 hours. Realistically, I…

The Arctic Enema sucked at the start of the race, but by the time I got to the end, I could've used another. I enjoyed the Muddy Mile, though. I had dislocated my shoulder earlier in the race, so I was climbing those mud hills with one arm. I loved the amount of assistance everyone was giving each other. With one arm, I…

For the rest of the year, I'm lined up for the Super Spartan in NJ (9/7), Philadelphia Rock n Roll Half Marathon (9/15), Brooklyn Rock n Roll 10K (10/12) and the Philadelphia Marathon (11/17). I can't wait to get my first blue Spartan medal. I've got three red ones already.

I was going to sign up for that Beast to earn my trifecta medal this year. Then Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 would release that week. That made the race a harder decision. Then my cousin announced he was getting married that same day. That made the race a no-can-do. Oh well. Maybe I can get my trifecta…

Zombies, Run! is an awesome app. The story is so engaging that it gets me up and on the go on days when I'd rather be in bed. The continuing adventures of Runner 5 really put you into the narrative. I haven't tried the 5k training version. By the time they made that, I was already deeply immersed in the story of the full…

Your second sentence...look at your first sentence for the answer. We don't do that. We don't give up. You might want to pick a better time to run if you're worried about cars. I start my day an hour earlier than I need to for work. So, I'm up and out and running between 4am and 5am. Over the course of my typical 3 - 7…

Reject. Not really into guys in masks...or guys in general, now that I think of it.
