I've read that your body needs 1200 calories a day to function properly. So I would definitely eat 1200 calories especially if you work out.

Ditto.

Same problem here. The main issue is that a lot of stores only carry size 6+ for women, so I have to shop in the Juniors section. I was able to buy a couple pairs of jeans lately at Old Navy, though, and they fit decently. Also, in the JC Penney juniors section.

I make it with almond milk and fruit. Sometimes I add peanut or almond butter. It's soooooo gooooood! My fiance loves my shakes too!

Also remember that soups are really high in sodium. I agree with tofu, shrimp, steamed veggies and brown rice (although they might fry it...)

Depends on your weight and oxygen consumption. To have an accurate number you'll need a heart rate monitor.

Your body needs at least 1200 calories to survive. If you exercise, it is okay to go above 1200, just make sure you still have a calorie deficit, and watch your sugar intake and sodium. Also, drink plenty of water, as that will help with cravings too.

In addition to dark chocolate, I discovered raw coca bars at Whole Foods. They are absolutely amazing. They're called Righteously Raw.

I live in Colorado. I love the mountains/gorgeous views, the weather, having four seasons and the hiking/running/biking/skiing/snowboarding opportunities.

Sweet!!!! That's so awesome! Congrats!

Nope, not putting that stuff in my body. Only truvia and agave. :flowerforyou: Thanks for the article!

The last 10-20 lbs are the hardest to lose. Drink plenty of water and increase your workout intensity. Don't try losing more than 1-2 lbs a week without doctor supervision. Besides, setting more realistic goals are going to be much more fulfilling, b/c they are easier to reach and exceed. :flowerforyou:

I always weigh 2 lbs less after exercise. it depends on your body. You can fluctuate 4-6 lbs during a day. You're supposed to drink 17-20oz of water after exercise for every lb lost.

Yes and no. Yes, if you use a BMI calculator that takes into consideration your body frame. Also, remember that breasts will shrink with weight. I always thought I had big boobs (measuring 36DD), until I lost the weight and turns out my 'normal' boobs are much smaller. But I hate BMI calculators. Which is why I also said…

Knee and hip problems, both of which I have developed after just 1 year of running. However, I do to agree, that running alone is not going to affect someone's joints. I used to be obese, so I know that put a lot of pressure on my joints, and weakened them, plus having a family history of arthritis made things worse.…

Wow, I actually read the entire post, and found it entertaining. (Maybe I'm a weirdo. *Shrug*.) According to statistics, women should have an even a lower chance of finding the perfect male significant other, considering that there are more women on this planet than men. (Sorry, not going to write an analytical post about…

90lbs in 9 months with a change of lifestyle, which includes healthy eating and exercise. That's it. You can do it too!

Have you had any fiber? What about healthy fats (like avocado and nuts)? These will make you feel satiated. If you're hungry, grab a light snack with fruit and a source of protein like non-fat Greek yogurt or cottage cheese. If you do plan to work out, you should definitely eat so you have fuel.

I make my own Chinese food and cut the calories and sodium down to 1/3 of what you would eat at a Chinese restaurant. :)

Thanks for posting. This is true!

This, and also watch your sugar intake. Definitely stay committed. It's only been 5 days. You can do this, hon!

Weigh yourself at the same time every day or week. (I don't recommend weighing yourself daily, b/c as it has been mentioned before, you will become too hung up on the scale.) If you are a member of a gym, have them take your body-fat percentage. That's what you should be focusing on. :)

Could be the shoes, socks, tight shoe laces or circulation. Try using different socks, loosen your shoe laces, or a different pair of shoes. If the symptoms persist, talk to your doctor. I hope it's just an issue with the shoe laces, and nothing serious. :smooched:

Thanks for posting what I didn't have the guts to. :flowerforyou:

I think it's because of the controversy surrounding aspartame. Most people think it's okay to drink it, and if you're not allergic to it, you will likely not feel the difference. (I don't, b/c I don't want formaldehyde in my body, no matter how little.) Stevia is natural, and I've had Sobe. It's great!

My nutritionist told me to eat 2-3 servings of fruit a day. Fruit are necessary, as they have extra vitamins and minerals (including Potassium, like bananas), plus they have essential carbs especially needed by runners. Eating fruit will actually help lose weight and do it in a healthy manner. Fruit juice is not the best…

When you measure your bust, wear a bra. I measure both the bust and also the circumference of my chest, the latter by measuring the measuring above the breasts, with the tape going under the armpits.

Any weight loss is great! Please don't beat yourself up over it. You are doing great. You should NOT be losing more than 1-2 lbs a week without doctor supervision. Don't compare yourself to others. Instead, compare your current weight to your initial weight. THAT is your achievement. If you want, increase your…

Yes! I love multitasking. I always listen to music during my runs and watch my form at the same time. The only thing is that people need to be curvaceous when listening to music, b/c I don't want to bother others with my music, and I want to make sure I hear them behind me when I'm on a trail, so I can get out of the way.
