I agree with all posters above. Yes you can, but it takes a while to retrain your brain and stomach as to how much you should be eating! Also, I find that when I'm dieting well.for a while some things taste too rich.

I use Bragg apple cider vinegar with "the mother". I can't say it's helped with weight loss, but it would be hard to determine that anyhow. I will say it did help with energy and feeling a bit more full. I also felt like it cleared up some other health issues. Be prepared, the taste is pretty awful.
